"The Playstation 3 is packed with some of the best games that have ever been released and it looks like the library and variety is only getting better. However not every title that hit the PS3 exclusively (North American consoles) smelled like roses. A few games come out here and there that blemished the reputation of the powerful Sony machine. We’ve compiled a list of the worst games exclusive to North American PS3 consoles that you should avoid."
"To win a coveted spot in Urgent Fury’s signature TacMap Invitational, teams will have to compete in one of two qualifying tournaments throughout the year. Titles featured will be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and SOCOM Confrontation for PlayStation 3."
Remeber that patch for Socom Confrontation that was suppose to fix all the lag and bugs? Well after nearly a year of waiting, the patch has finally come, and its huge. I can safely say, Patch 1.5 is the biggest patch for any videogame ever made.
Head by PSLS for the full list.
Sony has just announced Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Socom U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation are now apart of the PS3 Greatest Hits lineup -- where all good games dream of going.
Congratulations to Naughty Dog and Slant Six Games; you can grab the new titles for $30 everywhere (in America). Note this version of Confrontation does not include the headset.

GameDaily is a video gaming site like any other from a casual view. Reviews, news and editorials all delivering information to the gaming community. However some recent shoddy reviews have left the staff in a sticky point indeed. In a recent a Socom: Confrontation review the game had a number of points raised against it, most notably a lack of quick weapon change and the inability to set a timer on a game. However a player of the game has come forth and attacked Robert Workman's facts. Having...
Socom: Confrontation, the PSN exclusive title which is supposed to be the king of tactical shooters has been reviewed by KingPS3.com. The review is very positive and gives the game a 9.4/10. The reviewers claim this is truly a classic and will be a blast once the glitches and bugs are taken care of.
Paul Hunter - a lucky man over at NextGen Player - has already gotten his hands on the SOCOM: Confrontation beta and has recently obtained the LBP one as well. He invites anyone with questions about either beta to leave a comment and hopefully, he can get back to you.

If you've never read the "Ask PS3 Fanboy" articles, random people send in their questions, hoping for an answer. The website recommends bundles (SOCOM: Confrontation), they predict if certain games will ever have Trophies (Metal Gear Solid 4), and a lot of other things.
This could also be a good opportunity to brush up on your PS3 knowledge. Check out some of the questions in the quote.
The Socom: US Navy Seals Confrontation multiplayer beta on the PlayStation 3 launched several hours ago. The game has been getting good impressions and opinions...if only it was playable!
The servers are under tremondous stress at the moment. Joining a game is nearly impossible. Oh, and by the way: joining games in progress? If you're ready to brave that trail, which consists of a never ending load screen, go right ahead!
Overall, I'm impressed with the beta and most people who played i...
Earlier today, Sony announced the newest PS3 Bluetooth Headset, which is going to be packaged in a SOCOM: Confrontation bundle. A little while later, you will be able to buy it separately for $49.99.
The headset will come with a charger, which will make it easy to store and will be compatible with most cell phones. The main feature that comes with the headset is High-Quality mode, brought to you by a firmware update for the PS3, which "utilizes advanced wireless technologies and the Heads...
The Exploding Barrel was at the PAX located in Washington, checked out a few games, decided to talk about them: LittleBigPlanet, SOCOM: Confrontation, and others!
LittleBigPlanet really impressed everyone. TEB notes that the game gives you so much options when designing your levels that it's unbelievable. You can make fiery pits of doom or turn a ordinary car into a rocket! LBP could be one of the first games on the consoles that has quality user-created content.
Next up is SOCOM: Confr...
Seth Luisi has posted the official bundle information for SOCOM: Confrontation on the official SOCOM site. There will be three different bundles for you to choose from:
"Among the most ambitious features in SOCOM: Confrontation is the broad palette of community tools soon to be available through the official Web site, SOCOM.com. Instead of taking the standard route of using the game's Web site to advertise a scant few bullet points and screenshots, Sony and Slant Six plan on delivering a portal for you to organize a variety of aspects relating to your personal playing time and your clan. The series is already known for having built-in clan support, but now th..."
So you've all heard about about Qore giving you access to special Betas whilst your subscribing to it, however did you know that the current Beta special (namely the Socom Beta) which will be released....eventually... will not be available till TWO WEEKS AFTER the Public Beta releases... so remind me, what was the point of downloading Qore to get access to the beta's if you could just get the beta other ways before hand anyway?
Phil "Game 3.0" Harrison has moved on, but the PS3 developers are still there and it looks like they haven't forgot his teachings. Christopher Grant, a blogger for Joystiq, took a handful of upcoming PlayStation titles out for a little test drive at Sony's Pre-E3 Judge's Event in LA and the one thing he noticed that he wrote down frequently was: community website. Motorstorm: Pacific Rim, Killzone 2, and plenty of other games will have community websites when they are released. It looks like ...
"The intelligence on SOCOM: Confrontation has largely been under tight wraps, with bits of information leaked here and there, mostly by way of the official SOCOM site. With E3 and other events quickly approaching, that should all change soon. To get us up to speed and ready for our impending time with the game, we fired off a number of questions to David Seymour, design director over at Slant Six. Here's what he had to say."
A new batch of Socom Confrontation screenshots have been made public and as usual the French get them first (did we lose a war?) but screenshots need no translation and 15 mke there apearance. Go to the source to view the rest
Peter Dille, Senior Vice President of marketing at Sony, and the guy in charge of the PSN has posted a blog post on the official US Playstation blog. In it, he discusses how this year will lead to massive expansions in terms of the PSN's service.
According to him, the three major goals for the year are to provide the best free online gaming possible, providing 'digital media download services', and providing 'original content'.
The two major things that he revealed though, are that a d...
"We've brought you several big stories on SOCOM Confrontation in the past month, but today Sony passed on one more important piece of information: a release date. The latest iteration of the popular online shooter franchise will be arriving on September 16.
To celebrate this news, tomorrow Sony will be launching SOCOM.com, an online community site devoted to the game. Pre-release, the site will provide regular news updates as well as a place for fans to get together. Once the game has laun..."
Attention SOCOM (and Military shooter) fans U.S. Navy SEALS: Confrontation is in the works and it is doing pretty damn good. Apparently a future issue of EGM will be covering most of what appears to be the first full-blown preview of Confrontation...so for the anticipation of the issue, 2 new screenshots have been released and fans will be glad to know that one of them is Crossroads.
"Location
Initial recon indicates subject is returning to previous areas of operation. "Crossroads is by far the fan favorite," Luisi says, "so we definitely wanted to show what this level would look like in the next generation. We're trying to maintain a smaller size; the largest level in this game is going to be smaller than anything we had in SOCOM 3. And so while we are going to expand Crossroads out a bit, it's not going to be this huge, expansive area. All the other maps we're going to ..."
"With Sony's press conference in the past, we've created a roundup of all the small, but significant, announcements and confirmations. This year, Sony allowed very little time for the audience to ponder and absorb, so a lot of the groundbreaking revelations were not emphasised. This was of course a good thing, as it showed that Sony had a lot of things to say. So aside from the major announcements, such as MGS4, Haze and UT3 exclusivity, here are the other tidbits:
- 200 games on Blu-ray an..."
"Hey SOCOM fans: You might want to sit down for this one. You know how you've been disappointed by how the series has drifted further and further from its roots? You know how the addition of vehicles, enormous maps, and Battlefield-style play modes have seemed to dilute the pure, tense tactical experience of the original game? You know how you've complained to Sony and Zipper about the perils of trying to make the series too accessible, too mainstream?
They were listening.
When franchise..."
