Sonic & Knuckles is a good entry in the 2D Sonic series. It may not be as amazing as Sonic 3, but it's still a worthwhile adventure that Sonic fans will enjoy.
Although new Virtual Console releases were few and far between in 2010, the service did provide plenty of top-notch classic games. Here are the top 5 Virtual Console games released during the first-half of 2010.

Due to budget reasons, the game was split into two and the lock-on features were added to Sonic and Knuckles. When locked together, you got the full game of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. This greatly improved both games as you could not save in vanilla Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic 3‘s levels are not as good as Sonic & Knuckles‘."

Though we'd all but confirmed a couple weeks ago the classic action title Gunstar Heroes would be coming to XBLA, today sees the official announcement from publisher Sega. More, we learn the game is due for PSN, too.
