Time Magazine's Techland section takes a look back at 20 years of Sonic the Hedgehog over a five-page article, listing games, allies, enemies, comics, and TV Shows, amongst other things.

A blogger Don Reisinger has typed up an article on the Sega mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog. Their claim is simple, Sonic is dying out and is no longer able to meet expectations, or match the older games.

Their evidence includes poll statistics, competition from other companies and mascots, the hype is now gone for new releases as the original players are getting older and that it lacks the appeal of current day games: sex and killing.

Is this really goodbye Sonic?

Sega has offered MCVUK with release dates for some up and coming titles, offering from Sonic Rush Adventure for the DS, Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars for the Playstation Portable, Virtua Fighter 5 for the Xbox 360 and Universe at War: Earth Assault for the PC. They have also hinted that these release dates are only for European release date.

Xbox 360 Rally has claimed to have got there hands on what is supposed to be the up and coming titles Sega will be offering at the Tokyo Game Show. These titles range from Beijing 2008, Crazy Taxi, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Medieval II, Phantasy Star Universe, Shenmue 3, Sonic Rush Adventure and many more over all main console including Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Ds, Playstation Portable and Xbox 360.
