Time Magazine's Techland section takes a look back at 20 years of Sonic the Hedgehog over a five-page article, listing games, allies, enemies, comics, and TV Shows, amongst other things.
"Sonic Chaos is another Game Gear/Master System Sonic game that many overlook when talking about Sonic’s history. It’s interesting to go back and play these 8-bit releases since I never owned a Master System or Game Gear. The quality varies from game to game, but some of these 8-bit titles had some good ideas."
A blogger Don Reisinger has typed up an article on the Sega mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog. Their claim is simple, Sonic is dying out and is no longer able to meet expectations, or match the older games.
Their evidence includes poll statistics, competition from other companies and mascots, the hype is now gone for new releases as the original players are getting older and that it lacks the appeal of current day games: sex and killing.
Is this really goodbye Sonic?
