After the rumors, SEGA has finally announced the inevitable: the Dreamcast makes its return this generation, with Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi headed for both the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this fall.
Both games will be available to play at SEGA's booth at E3.
According to the ESRB, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure DX will be ported to the Playstation 3 in addition to the Windows PC and the Xbox 360 platforms.
Good news for fans of the Sega Dreamcast as it looks like some of the classic titles from that defunct system will be making their way to Xbox Live Arcade at least. I wouldn't be surprised to see them on PSN either.

"After we reported that Sega had recently patented the title 'Sonic Rush Adventure', the firm has coughed up the news that the game is in development for DS.
Sonic Rush Adventure will use both screens of the DS to "navigate the high seas in search of pirate treasure", says Sega description. The game is being developed by Sega Studios for an autumn release.
Gameplay from the well-received original will be retained and the blurb released so far tells how players will set off from Windmill ..."
