Sonic has been the star in 60 games and he's had cameos in over 150 games. Everything from racing to adventure games the mascot of Sega has done it all. The big question is what are the top 5 Sonic games and where does Sonic 3D Blast fall on the list?
Time Magazine's Techland section takes a look back at 20 years of Sonic the Hedgehog over a five-page article, listing games, allies, enemies, comics, and TV Shows, amongst other things.
"A lot of games have them and a lot of them are annoying. We're of course talking about side kicks in video games. Though we'd all but confirmed a couple weeks ago the classic action title Gunstar Heroes would be coming to XBLA, today sees the official announcement from publisher Sega. More, we learn the game is due for PSN, too.

The movie is a throwback to the old "SatAM" Sonic cartoon featuring a different and better cast of characters alongside Sonic. A proper trailer is to be shown in Summer.

The NPD Group has released the top twenty software and top ten software by platform lists for the recently unveiled February 2009 sales numbers yesterday, showing the top rankings in software sales for the month. The top ten rankings for accessory sales are also available.

There was a time where Sonic the Hedgehog and Sega was more popular than Super Mario. Obviously it didn't last and many older gamers now consider Sega to be little more than an empty shell of it's former self. However, that doesn't change the fact that at one time the company had some truly amazing titles.

Now here's a pretty good week -- looks like things are picking up following the holiday swing.
F.E.A.R. 2 is out for console and PC owners while Onechanbara treats Wii and Xbox 360 owners alike to hot bikini-clad girl zombie slashing; Deadly Creatures and The House of the Dead: Overkill provide Nintendo fans with some non-shovelware for a change, and PSP owners get LocoRoco 2, the only game really of note for the handheld in recent memory.
