Spider-Man 3

Spider-Man 3

"Spider-man has had his fair share of video games of the past couple years. While each game (has turned out) pretty successfully, no game has managed to capture the depth and variety that the multiple Spider-man universes have to offer. That’s all about to change with Shattered Dimensions, as this title hopes to capture a variety of different Spider-man universes while remaining true to its roots. But is this wall-crawler a friendly neighbourhood hero or villain in disguise?"

"This week's "Cosplay Babe of the Week" is The Black Cat, also known as Felicia Hardy, from the Spider-Man series of comics and more importantly for our purpose - video games. We also chose The Black Cat in hopes that Capcom would take notice and pop her into the upcoming Marvel Vs Capcom 3."

"Look at Activision CEO Bobby Kotick, who in a recent Game Informer interview admitted that the publisher's Spider-Man titles have been less than acceptable over the years.

"Our Spider-Man games have sucked for the last five years," he tells the magazine when talking about learning about commitment to quality from Blizzard. "They are bad games. They were poorly rated because they were bad games.""

"It’s an accepted fact that video games aren’t real. Of course some people would like to tell you that you don’t know the difference between video games and reality (*cough* Jack Thompson of course *cough*). Well, sometimes the line is actually blurred. It would appear that video games have seeped into our reality from time to time, and it’s only a matter of days, months, or years before we have to deal with the emerging video game menace. So why not prepare ahead of time by taking a look at t..."

Activision has announced that Call of Duty 5 is in the works for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii and PS2. We could also be seeing two new Guitar Hero titles this year, along with another title for Tony Hawks and a new James Bond game set to accompany the new movie coming out in Autumn. A sequel for Marvel Ultimate Alliance and a new Spider Man game have also been mentioned, although there aren't many details for these games yet.

"In general, we think you've got pretty good taste in games. You've made massive successes of stellar franchises like Ratchet & Clank, The Elder Scrolls and Katamari Damacy. You tend to like the things we like, and that's part of why we enjoy writing for you and telling you about all the cool games we think you'll get excited about playing.

Sometimes, though, you ignore our advice, which breaks our hearts a little. It's bad enough when you do it by passing up kickass experiences like Okami ..."

"Upon looking through IGN’s review section, I came across the newly developed Wii game, Spiderman 3. Alas, it received a 5.4/10 (from IGN), which is not good at all. I then proceeded to look at the screen shots for the game, and was stricken by how bad the graphics looked.

Do textures really have to look this bad on the Wii? I am sorry but, as a Wii owner, I am highly dissatisfied with the way developers are handling the graphics for Wii games. The PS2 version looks better than this, and w..."

"Okay, I can’t speak for the game yet - who knows, swinging around cityscapes for a third time may be just as fun as the first outing. But my God, Sony has painted themselves into a corner with this whole PS3/Spiderman font crossover thing. I mean, just look at that Spider Man 3 360 box. There’s the big sideways, PS3 -font logo on the lefthand side, which would make me think “Oh, this must be a PS3 game!”, but then there’s that huge honkin’ Xbox 360 logo at the top! Gah! And to top it off, the..."

"Continuing in the tradition of Treyarch's well-received Spider-Man 2, the upcoming sequel Spider-Man 3 brings the film home by offering gamers a large-scale virtual recreation of New York City to explore. As players traverse the city, either on-foot or through Spider-Man's trademark web-swinging, they can participate in a number of missions that recreate the various events and fights of the film, including Spider-Man's acquisition of the symbiote Venom. This results not only in Spider-Man's n..."
