"Whether you're a fan of comic books, animated cartoons or video games, you're definitely familiar with the star of today's cosplay gallery, Black Cat. Born in Queens, New York. She was raised an only child to Walter and Lydia Hardy. Felicia Hardy's father, Walter, was a world-renowned cat burglar. Before being arrested he told her to never settle for second best. Lydia agreed with that sentiment."

"Spider-man – one of the most (if not the most) recognizable superhero to ever grace us mere mortals has had his fair share of video game appearances over the years. Since the Web-heads inception in the 60’s, Stan Lee’s creation was destined for the video game world and in 80’s and early 90’s started seeing our favourite wall-crawler on everything from the Atari 2600 to the Sega Mega Drive."

"Spider-man has had his fair share of video games of the past couple years. While each game (has turned out) pretty successfully, no game has managed to capture the depth and variety that the multiple Spider-man universes have to offer. That’s all about to change with Shattered Dimensions, as this title hopes to capture a variety of different Spider-man universes while remaining true to its roots. But is this wall-crawler a friendly neighbourhood hero or villain in disguise?"

"This week's "Cosplay Babe of the Week" is The Black Cat, also known as Felicia Hardy, from the Spider-Man series of comics and more importantly for our purpose - video games. We also chose The Black Cat in hopes that Capcom would take notice and pop her into the upcoming Marvel Vs Capcom 3."

Spider-Man is back and swinging into home consoles later this year under the title, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. The name only recently being leaked from an upcoming GamePro magazine, it's currently unknown what platforms the new title will be on, as well as any major details to the game. It's rumored that Radical Entertainment, the company behind Prototype and The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, will be developing Shattered Dimensions for ActiVision.

"Look at Activision CEO Bobby Kotick, who in a recent Game Informer interview admitted that the publisher's Spider-Man titles have been less than acceptable over the years.

"Our Spider-Man games have sucked for the last five years," he tells the magazine when talking about learning about commitment to quality from Blizzard. "They are bad games. They were poorly rated because they were bad games.""

"2008 was probably my greatest year for gaming. I had just bought my Playstation 3 before the beginning of the year, and after ploughing through my first next-gen title; Assassin’s Creed, my expectations for the many 2008 titles to come were high. However, as I would find, there would inevitably be a few letdowns along the way. Here is my list of five of the games I though didn’t live up to the hype they were given…"

"It’s an accepted fact that video games aren’t real. Of course some people would like to tell you that you don’t know the difference between video games and reality (*cough* Jack Thompson of course *cough*). Well, sometimes the line is actually blurred. It would appear that video games have seeped into our reality from time to time, and it’s only a matter of days, months, or years before we have to deal with the emerging video game menace. So why not prepare ahead of time by taking a look at t..."

This week, Yahtzee reviews Spiderman: Web of Shadows. Complaints include the emphasis of combat over city exploration, and how the moral choices serve only to make the player play through the game twice.

"With great power comes great responsibility, a wise man once said in the very pages that this game originated from. Since the video game that came in hand with the Spiderman 2 movie, the series has taken a swing for the best, adopting one of the greatest free roaming experiences available within video games. Spiderman 2 was to be the keystone in the success of the all of the mask webslinger’s outings until people started to question whether the awe and freedom from the series would fair well ..."

"Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can... well almost at least, I mean he can’t give a poison bite that stuns prey nor can he scare children in a hokey ghost train ride at the Brighton seafront. Not that this matters when a teenager is granted wall climbing, web slinging, crook bashing and smart quipping abilities. Although with it does come some degree of responsibility."

"Celebrating the release of Call of Duty: World at War (released 14th November), the partnership will see LOVEFiLM launch an exclusively tailored marketing drive for this highly anticipated title.

For the first time ever for a games publisher, the title will benefit from..."

Spider Man games have been hit or miss. Some were good (Spider Man 2) some were ok (Spider Man 3) and some were meh (Friend or Foe)

The newest Spider Man game however, kicks ass. Whity says, and shows, the gameplay is completely revamped. Previously Spider Man games have had very simplistic gameplay, but this one allows Spidey to use alot of moves and combos for both the regular and black suit which both play and feel very diffrent.

While the Whity does critisize the plot starting off a...

"Superheroes don't take failure well. It comes with the territory. If you're gonna be seen in public wearing skintight pants, you've got to have an ego that would shame a Big Brother contestant. Come up short, and at best you'll spend weeks brooding in darkened rooms. At worst, you'll disappear only to return three movies later as a super-villain. Protect your self-image -- and the safety of the entire world -- by perusing these hints for Activision's all-new Spider-Man: Web of Shadows."

This is one of the games that has been sucking up all of my time in a very busy schedule... You may find it hard to believe but in between Fable 2, Fallout 3, and Dead Space... I am actually making time for Web of Shadows.

Let us be honest, we are friends here. Spider-Man 3 and Friend or Foe were steaming piles of manure INMO... but Web of Shadows feels like an Apology from Shaba (and through extention Treyarch) for the last game. Controls are tighter, the game is more dynamic, and watch...

I normally don't do the top list thing, since there's approximately 19 billion of them already, but PocketGamer does seems to be doing gamers a service with this one, helping you sort through the muck this fourth quarter.

Following up on their Top 10 Q4 DS games to look forward to, this one focuses on the PSP. Oddly it doesn't seem like the most stellar list, but perhaps that's just personal opinion. Nevertheless, do you think this season is a poor one for PSP games?

"New York City is being ravaged by a deadly infection. Symbiotes roam free! What is a New Yorker to do? We will tell you: watch this public service announcement from S.H.I.E.L.D. and stay informed. Spider-Man: Web of Shadows releases on October 21st for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 platforms."

The release date for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows is October 21st, which is less than two weeks away and because of that, the launch trailer has been revealed in all of its HD glory.

Spidey finally gets a game that has a chance to live! It's coming up really quick, so if you want more info now's your chance. Here's a video about Spiderman: Web of Shadows. I know this game is mostly for fanboys, but if you love action, consider getting this game. Or it could blow up in our faces and be tarnished as yet another bad game. Whatever...

That's right folks. Another week, another round of new video games being released. Kotaku's put up a list of games we can expect to find on Super Tuesday this week. Among these are Age of Booty and WALL-E for the Mac. The good ol' mystery boys aren't quite dead yet either, as Hardy Boys: The Hidden Theft makes its way to the PC this week as well.

October 21st in the USA, and October 24th in the UK will see more AAA titles released than any other time of the year. With Fable II, LittleBigPlanet, Far Cry 2, Dead Space, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows and much more, we have determined that this is the VideoGamiest Day of the Year! Mark your calendars, save your money, as we show you some of the games coming out on what promises to be the most exciting day of 2008.

Seven new screenshots from Spider Man: Web of Shadows have come out, all showing someone named the Black Cat. Some show Spider Man attacking her, and one kissing her. The game comes out October 1st.

Earlier today, Activision - the publisher of Spider-Man: Web of Shadows - has released two screenshots and a video of Black Cat, who shall appear in the latest Spidey game.

The screenshots show her running (nice view!) and jumping off a building, while the video shows her laying the smack-down on our beloved hero. Vid is in the source.

Look out for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows on October 21st!

"First off, Web of Shadows is probably the coolest Spider-Man title ever made. I know that’s not saying much because many of the titles sucked, but there are so many improvements and features in this title that it outclasses all of those others combined.

One of the coolest features is that you get to switch between the alien black suit and the traditional blue and red suit. Each suit has specific abilities associated with it."
