Split/Second takes the white knuckle action of the Burnout series, adds the simulation aspect of Gran Turismo, and the fun factor of Mario Kart to create an amazing game that truly must be experienced.

Split/Second was one of the surprise hits last year for its innovative gaming mechanics. Unfortunately, the title didn't sell nearly as well as it should. Check out the full story for all the depressing details.

"Three DLCs enter, one DLC leaves. Welcome to the maiden voyage of GameZone’s DLC review round-up, where we play all kinds of random crap so that you don’t have to. Unless it’s good, then you should play it too."

Gameplaybook has the first official details for Split/Second's newest downloadable content, featuring all new tracks, modes and cars to add to your racing experience. And the best part is, some of it is available today!

It looks like Disney Interactive isn't done destroying stuff in Split/Second just yet. The company has announced that new DLC is coming in October, featuring new tracks, game modes and cars to play around with.

"This week's deals are kind of overwhelming thanks to GameStop's Power Saver sales and Toys R Us running a buy one get one 50% off sale. There is a lot to choose from to spend your gaming dollar on but the good news is is that you'll be able to stretch it pretty far."

"Difficult week of games this week but not because there is a lack of new titles to choose from. There is actually a number of tough choices this week for just about every game platform."

Playstation Insider gives off news on how much hard drive space PS3 owners looking forward to Split/Second will need. Spit/Second lands next week in North America for PS3,360, and PC.

"Two hot racing demos are now available with today's update of the PSN Store. Split/Second for the PS3 takes you for a spin around a track that's rigged to explode to take out your competitors while ModNation Racers for the PSP is a highly customizable kart racer."

"Joey Logano's GameStop Nationwide NASCAR sponsorship saga continues with a game that is a little closer to his chosen sport, Split/Second. Sure, he's had Mario Kart on his #20 Toyota Camry before but the cartoony world of the Mario universe isn't the same as the action-racer from Disney Interactive and Black Rock studios. Logano even had the opportunity to take Split/Second for a spin earlier this week during a visit to GameStop corporate headquarters."

Split/Second will include a game mode that doesn't involve toppling buildings or crashing planes down on to the race track. It's also going to include a 'Survival Mode'.

"We've got a surprise demo this morning as the action-racing game Split/Second careens on to Xbox Live. Disney Interactive and Black Rock Studios have mentioned previously that a demo was incoming but they were playing coy as to when it would be available. That time would be now for Xbox 360 owners. PS3 owners will have to wait until May 11 to take the game for a test drive."

""Cars fully deform based on angle and intensity of collision; body parts swing, crumple and fall off - you can even rip the entire car in two!"

That's fighting talk. Your move, Criterion.

The senior vice president over at EA Games Europe, Patrick Soderlund, had some tough things to say about the competition. While he actually enjoyed Split/Second, he felt that Blur was "completely underwhelming."

However, Polyphony Digital and Turn 10 Studios aren't the only ones who can talk trash. Soderlund didn't have anything to say about PD's Gran Turismo 5. However, he did say this about Forza: “Forza, I’m very confident we have a better game than them to be honest." Let's see if EA c...

"With all the racing games shown at this years explosive E3, Disney Interactives Split Second is still the buzz around the AnalogHype office. Imagine a racing game that feels like your the stunt driver in a Michael Bay movie. Split Second is that game and will change your thoughts on racing games forever."
