After previously being announced earlier today, Watch Impress has uploaded more screenshots of its unveiling from Microsoft's RPG Premiere 2008.

Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope is set to release in 2009. It is currently only confirmed for the Xbox 360.

"It looks as if 2008 is set to be the year of the role-playing game. Earlier this year Mistwalker's Lost Odyssey was released on the Xbox 360, and Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors was recently released on the Wii. Portables also picked up some action, with titles including The World Ends With You and Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings coming to the Nintendo DS.

Today is the day of Microsoft's RPG Premiere 2008 in Japan, where the company is unveiling new RPGs to the console in an attempt to bolster the Xbox 360's pitiful last-place position in Japan. Most, if not all of the titles revealed today should make their way over to the West.

One of the new game announcements at this event is Star Ocean: The Last Hope, previously only known as Star Ocean 4. The game debuted with a CG-only trailer at the event. Originally thought to be a PlayStation 3 ...

"Tonight's Microsoft Japan RPG press event wasn't all about announcements. There were videos, too! Here's two of them. Above, a trailer for Squeenix & Tri-Ace's Star Ocean 4, helpfully (and relatively tastefully) dubbed in English for all us English-speaking sorts. After the jump, an Infinite Undiscovery clip that takes the old trailer, keeps the cheese and throws in a few new scenes to try and hold your attention."

We have scans, scans and some more scans. 4 In total actually, and they are all for the hotly awaited Star Ocean 4 which is slated for the PS3.

Whilst the information is in Japanese, it's still has a 'wow'-factor for the Star Ocean 4 fans.

Some scans for the next installment in the Star Ocean have surfaced from Famitsu Weekly.

Fans of the series should be happy to know longtime developer on the series tri-Ace will be working on this one, which will be more sci-fi based (you'll be able to control your own ship and travel to at least five different planets). The game takes place a few centuries before the original.

A platform or release date have still not been announced for the game.

From what most likely is the promotional DVD that comes with Star Ocean: Second Evolution for the PSP, we get three trailers for the three upcoming tri-Ace projects: Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One, Star Ocean 4 and Infinite Undiscovery. Both the Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean 4 trailers are new, while the Infinite Undiscovery trailer is old.
