The top list of games sold this week has been released.

Wii- Wii Music, Wii Fit, and Wii Play all came out on the top of the Wii lists.

Xbox 360- Fable II (not surprisingly), Tales of Vesparia, and Far Cry 2 were at the top of the charts.

Playstation 3- In North America Dead Space came out on top, with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed as second. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (special edition), and FIFA 09 came out on top in other regions.

The first of the two Star Ocean remakes which are heading for the PSP have been dated in the US. Star Ocean: The First Depature should be available across Europe in October 2008. The game which is more than just a simple remake, will feature an improved battle system, cut-scenes and fully voiced (and new) cut-scenes.

With E3 just around the Corner, beginning on the 15th of July, company line-ups are being announced left, right and center. Today was Square Enix' turn, with their full line-up detailed below.

In fact, the only Final Fantasy game that is attending is Final Fantasy IV, which was released in Japan nearly a year ago and is scheduled for a NA and PAL release later this year.

Square Enix registered trademarks for both subtitles in North America, but that’s about it. Out of the blue Gamefly is listing both games with a placeholder September 30th release date. We’re probably not getting both PSP Star Ocean remakes on the same day, but this is the first sign of them."

Quickly after updating with the previous week's pre-New Year's sales, Media Create has updated their weekly rankings to reflect the sales for the week of one the biggest holiday shopping weeks in Japan, New Year's. After a week's hiatus, we finally get Media Create's software rankings, along with hardware and software numbers for the week preceding New Year's Day. Contrary to the preceding week's Nintendo domination, games from a system not owned by Nintendo broke into the top ten. Hardware wise, it's still the same old, with the DS, PSP and Wii selling in the six figure range, while the PS3 ranges around 55k.

Japanese magazine Famitsu claims Square Enix will announce a new Star Ocean title in the upcoming Square Enix Party 2007. The game will be revealed in the first day of the event, May 12, at around 11:00 AM. That's when Square Enix is holding their "Star Ocean Special Stage".
