The Star Wars license has been attached to several different genres of video games over the years. Some of the didn't work as well, but there were a few that were golden. Sadly, there are a few great games that LucasArts never revisited, so Push Start Select is highlighting the 5 games fans want to see again.
Here are some of this week's best deals on Xbox 360 stuff from around the internet including huge discounts on the Legendary Edition of Halo: Reach and the Collector's Edition of Star Wars Force Unleashed II.
"The coolest gameplay trailer of 2010 has to go to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II’s Soul of a Jedi trailer, depicting an excellent mixture of cinematic storytelling and in-game combat and adventure."
"The Force Unleashed 2 is, without a doubt, one of 2010’s biggest disapointments. The sequel to 2008’s good but very imperfect The Force Unleashed, TFU2 falls short on just about every count. This isn’t just a mediocre game, unfortunately. This is a game with a bucket load of unrealised potential, and bearing witness to just how close LucasArts have come to a real gem is incredibly frustrating."
"At Spike TV's Video Game Awards last year, fans were already eagerly awaiting the unveiling of a particular game. LucasArts had dropped a bomb by saying that a new Star Wars game would be revealed at the event. The Internet immediately exploded with the possibilities and hopes of fanboys all over the world. So what did we get? Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, and a heaping helping of disappointment. The incredibly short game failed to live up to expectations, and have made fans even more up..."
"Ok ok, technically its a film villain abode, but you have to admit it is probably one of the most iconic villainous abodes ever, and its appearance in Star Wars games is always a joy. I particularly enjoyed making my way through it in the Force Unleashed, chucking storm-troopers into the planet-destroying laser beam as it switched on, frying them to particles in a split-second."
"Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 had so much potential. The first game had the rare characteristics of being an amazing experience, while being riddled with problems. That presented the unique opportunity to create a sequel to fix the shortcomings and make something special, something Star Wars fans have been dreaming of for over three decades. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be."
"I couldn’t wait to get back into the boots of Starkiller and traverse the galaxy throwing Stormtroopers through windows. I could only hope a few Jawas would get tossed into a large ship or chasm because, well…what else do you do with Jawas?
What I got started off on a strong note and then slowly Force Choked itself to death."
Complete level-by-level guide to The Force Unleashed 2 with details on how to unlock achievements as you play through the game and win in the boss battles. Also includes a guide with videos to all the holocrons in the game.
"Gameplay is one button, and if you've ever played the very incredible Flash game Canabalt then you've pretty much got a handle on the game. The character is running the entire time (automatically) and all you have to do is hit the Space Bar or click the mouse in order to jump. You must dodge obstacles and enemies as you travel, and losing momentum could bring you up short on your jumps."
DaxGamer's Ethan Adkins reviews Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2. The Force Unleashed 2 is the follow-up to the runaway success Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
"We lament missing the opportunity to have our 31st episode on Halloween, but make up for it with a bag-full (sorry) of games including Fable 3, Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare, Star Wars Force Unleashed 2, Super Meat Boy, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit demo, Hydro Thunder Hurricane Tempest Pack, Pinball FX 2, and still more Halo Reach!
Andy's Book Club makes its return as does Pat's Movie Club. We also manage to answer a user question, and refrain from eating candy whilst recording.

"Star Wars games have been around for as long as we can remember and for the most part, they’ve managed to deliver some great experiences. The Force Unleashed 2 is the latest offering from Lucas Arts as well as the follow up to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Will it manage to outdo its father and wield the true power of the force? We’re about to find out."
"Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II the sequel to 2008's moderately successful offering from LucasArts comes out October 26. But while you wait the fine people at LucasArts were nice enough to throw a playable demo onto the Playstation Network and Xbox Marketplace. The big question becomes, "Should you go download it?" The answer: dude, its free. Why the hell not!?!? But is it worth it?"
"The demo for the upcoming release of the latest Star Wars game released on Xbox Live last night. The demo starts off with a cut scene setting up the interesting plot for the sequel."
"I wasn’t the biggest fan of The Force Unleashed, but the force is definitely strong with this new Star Wars: The Force unleashed II launch trailer. With Yoda, Darth Vader and the Death Star…this looks like a sure fire can’t miss!!"
"The level focuses on the very beginning of the game, which takes in a secret cloning facility on the planet of Kamino. Starkiller, told by Vader he is no more than a clone, becomes tormented by the memories of his past and escapes into the rain-soaked planet with Vader not far behind.
Unleash the power of dual lightsabers, over-top Force powers including the new Jedi mind trick, and get a first taste on a journey that will take Starkiller across the galaxy in search of the truth behind hi..."
Newegg is discounting the prices for several big upcoming games for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, including Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and more.
With the great games that came out this year like Red Dead Redemption, God of War III, and the newly released Halo: Reach this year has been a great time to be a gamer. Thing is the year is coming to an end and its time to run down the remaining games coming out this Holiday season.
"Star Wars: Force Unleashed and Force Unleashed II for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii sit in that period of time between the end of the prequels and the start of the original Star Wars film. This has given LucasArts the freedom to dabble in the Star Wars universe in the game and it looks like they are about to do so in a big way with the appearance of Master Yoda."
Amazon has unveiled the pre-order bonus items for the upcoming Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 highly-anticipated sequel, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.
"While it didn’t do all that well critically, the success of The Force Unleashed is hard to ignore. By blending together three game engines, LucasArts was able to create one of the most technologically advanced looking games of the generation."
"Star Wars is, arguably, the most successful multimedia property of all time. Star Wars video games have been around for nearly as long as the movies, but things have been a little quiet of late. With the exception of The Force Unleashed and Lego Star Wars, any releases have fallen under the radar. All that’s about to change: The Force Unleashed and Lego Star Wars are attempting to step up their game, BioWare is out to redefine the MMO with The Old Republic, and Sony Online Entertainment are d..."
Here's the E3 trailer for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II featuring lots of cinematic action but nothing in the way of gameplay. Doesn't matter though because it's still worth a watch.

"FoxyKazoo "Speaking of when it's done, apparently, Starcraft II is coming out"
Joystick "ON my birthday!"
FoxyKazoo "You know you just told the Internet about your birthday, you won't tell work about your birthday, but you told the Internet"
Joystick "Pfft! The Internet, I'm not too worried about that.""
"In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Darth Vader tasked The Secret Apprentice with hunting down and eliminating the remaining Jedi. But one Jedi Master eluded Starkiller and his homicidal droid. It looks like LucasArts may remedy that oversight in the sequel."
