Leviathyn.com's Travis Freese looks at how MMO's are getting more and more expensive. With numerous pre-order options and subscription costs, is the genre heading towards a position where it the extra money is necessary just to win?

Crossover games seem to be a strong feature within the current games market, with Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and the more recent Street Fighter X Tekken making a mark for themselves. So MyGaming decided to have a look into some bizarre gaming hybrids that could be some fun.

The PC Games Contributor of GoozerNation writes about why he feels the Marauder is possibly the most fun class to play in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

The PC Games Contributor on GoozerNation writes about his experiences with operations in Star Wars: The Old Republic. There are currently two operations available; Karagga's Palace and The Eternity Vault.

Star Wars: The Old Republic may be a great game, but there are also many things that can be improved. Besides bugs and the user interface, GoozerNation writes about five things to dislike in SWTOR.

MMORPGS are the ultimate time consumer in the gaming world. Several big names games such as City of Heroes, LOTRO, DC Universe Online have gone free to play. Yet the games that charge the monthly fees WoW and SWTOR continue to bring in players and grow. The question Goozernation has is there room for both to be profitable, to survive, and which is the better model?

"Of course not everyone creates their characters the way I do. Avatar appearance is an afterthought for plenty of gamers, while character profiles, backstory, and abilities take precedence. Yet in almost every MMO, we strive to make sure that we stand out from the crowd"

First world gamer problems. How do you balance an MMO, a creative indie title, an engrossing FPS/RPG, and a full-time job?

Just a day in the life of an adult gamer, something we can all relate to.

It's been almost 10 years since I took my first foray into MMO territory with Star Wars: Galaxies. I've had an on-again, off-again relationship with the genre ever since. Now, how does it feel to be 35 hours into Star Wars: The Old Republic?

It feels pretty darn good.

"I myself have let my WoW account fall by the wayside, and have to put at least 40 hours into SW:TOR since I got the game. That is a large time commitment for me, especially these days. Despite all the praise I have for the game there are a few things that are beginning to irk me. Here’s four things I’m going to complain about."

"Killing a space warthog with a lightsaber is pretty much the same thing as hitting a magical warthog with a magic sword. It’s neat to see a MMO in a sci-fi setting like Bioware’s upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic as opposed to the usual fantasy world, but the question remains as to what will make this game more than “World of Warcraft, but Star Wars”?"

EA has been long at work with Bioware's and Lucas Arts on the most costly video game of all time. They have been working on it for years in the time that they have been working on it there has been 4 COD video games. The new game is set to take aim at some of the biggest RPG and MMORPG video games with aggressive marketing to get users away from other games.

Wondering what games are coming out in the final month of 2011? Not to worry, I've put together a list of some games that I am excited for this month, so check it out and get your Christmas list ready!

"There are places that truly give a crap about games and will do everything in their power to give each game what it deserves. Others will treat the GOTY voting as nothing more than a popularity contest where the game that sold the most is the winner."

"So what’s the big deal? Skyrim is NOT going away, just rock the SWTOR beta and play Skyrim on Monday. The only problem is that it's Skyrim – not just some game. Plus it’s just a beta… so… everything you do will be erased anyways… but it STAR WARS! Sigh. The only true answer is something gray – a medium ground."

"I can honestly tell you that RAGE, no matter how good it looks or how much fun it may end up being, will not take priority of Battlefield or Arkham City; no offense to id Software."

"Another week has passed, and GameZone has managed to pack a slew of new content on the site for our loyal readers. This week, we look at the latest reviews and previews, and we share our insight with some new features. Plus, what indie games should you be playing? All that and more on this edition of GameZone’s Weekly Wrap-Up."

"BioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Republic is, without a doubt, one the most anticipated releases of the year. Not only is it a Star Wars MMO with real potential, it’s a spiritual sequel to Knights of the Old Republic, arguably the very best Star Wars videogames to date, and it represents BioWare’s (arguably the most popular developers of story-based Western style RPG’s around) first foray into MMO territory. But is too much being hung on the success of The Old Republic?"

"No genre has been as unpredictable in recent years as the MMO. We saw the meteoric rise and fall of Aion and Champions Online, Turbine’s reinvention of free-to-play, and the surprising growth of underdogs like Fallen Earth and EVE Online. Oh, and let’s not forget the best-selling expansion for a little game called World of Warcraft."

"Video games have multiplayer, anymore that’s almost a given. Multiplayer gives people the chance to go out and pit themselves against other people from around the world or it allows for a collaborative effort to achieve victory. But there are some games that either miss the mark, or totaly skip the online process altogether."

"Star Wars is, arguably, the most successful multimedia property of all time. Star Wars video games have been around for nearly as long as the movies, but things have been a little quiet of late. With the exception of The Force Unleashed and Lego Star Wars, any releases have fallen under the radar. All that’s about to change: The Force Unleashed and Lego Star Wars are attempting to step up their game, BioWare is out to redefine the MMO with The Old Republic, and Sony Online Entertainment are d..."

GameDaily gives its own take at which RPG style is superior in the categories of the classic RPG, the MMORPG, the tactical RPG, the action RPG, most emotionally engaging (contains FFVII and Mass Effect spoilers), and the overall winner.

Though you might not agree with everything stated, it is an interesting read on a topic that continues to spur the interest of RPG fans.

A new world has entered the galaxy of Star Wars, being torn asunder by war as two factions fight for dominance once again across the myriad star systems, spreading the breadth of the outer rim.

In this developer's diary, we explore the world of Ord Mantell, a world, like many others, which has been militarized, a scene not uncommon with the trend of the ways things are going. Landing platforms for troops and supplies are displayed in screenshots, and the story, origins, and information of...
