Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka, co-founders of BioWare, have announced that some employees behind Star Wars: The Old Republic have been let go. No real reason was given for the layoffs, and an exact number involved is unknown as well.
BioWare has announced update 1.3 for Star Wars: The Old Republic. While bringing about a highly requested feature, the update is all about functionality not content. A group finder and server transfers are on the way for remaining players.

EA confirmed in an annual financial report that Star Wars: The Old Republic lost 24 percent of its subscribers in a single month. The Force might not be with them after all.

Apparently EA have received "thousands" of complaining letters about scenes of homosexual nature in some of their big games - most notably Mass Effect 3 and The Old Republic in this article. It's unbelievable that some people would even want the scenes censored. VP Jeff Brown believes the issues "isn't about children, it's about political harassment."

Several new hardware images have been revealed by online retailer, Amazon.com, for the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic Gaming Keyboard accessory.

Frank Gibeau, president of EA Games, doesn't seem to think so.
In an interview with Gamasutra, Gibeau stated, "From our perspective, it's an extremely healthy platform." He says so while explaining that EA is in the process of a refocus on the PC platform, planning to use it to launch the publisher back to the top spot in the industry.

The Knights of the Old Republic games have delighted (and frustrated) both fans and non-fans of Star Wars. The first game set a new standard for RPGs, and for fans of the Star Wars saga it gave everyone a broader glimpse at the galaxy far, far away. The problem being KOTOR II's ending left so many of us disappointed and filled with unanswered questions. Questions many fans assumed would be answered in an inevitable KOTOR III.
