NoobFeed.com takes note of the insurgent uprising in Star Wars Galaxies, following its decision to shut down on December 15. Several players have congregated to file a law suit against SOE and are making demands. Madness or genius?

Star Wars: Galaxies is ending in December, says Sony Online Entertainment. SOE will make fan appreciation offers and have a "galaxy ending in -game event" to ends things.

Sony Online Entertainment has announced that they will be shutting down 12 servers on October 15th, as a result of the overwhelming success of the recent Free Character Transfer Service that has left certain servers with significantly low population, crowding other servers in the same time.
All players from these 12 servers will have the option of a one-way transfer to one of the 13 remaining servers.

Like it or not, SOE has really done the best they thought they could with Star Wars Galaxies. I for one liked the original HAM system of the game and have since stopped playing. However, SOE keeps persevering, adding new content right and left. Their Chapter 11 update looks to include the Battle of Echo Base and will advanced the game's time frame to the beginning of 'Empire'.
