Woah, 100 games is a rather huge list. And trying to make the list would seem like an almost impossible task. There's some you'll definitely agree and disagree with but take a look and see if you can find any justified positions!

Mario has been in over 250 games. Goozernation attempts to near down the top 10 Mario games of all time to the top 5. What makes the cut into the top 5? Will Mario Galaxy be mentioned? What about Super Mario RPG? Where does Paper Mario fall?

In this day and age there are still some timeless classics in gaming. Games that can be played anytime and anywhere. To some the classics include RPGs, to other's the games are timeless Nintendo and Sega games. Here are a few examples from the long list that Goozernation has: Baldur's Gate, Final Fantasy VII, Power Stone, Mortal Kombat II, Super Mario 3, Chrono Trigger, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario 64, and GTA San Andreas.

Daav from NoobFeed.com gives his vegetarian colleague Mario an ego boost, by shedding the positive side to the non-animal slaughtering lifestyle. Not everyone who eats mushrooms is a tripping junkie and it's high time(s) to see the advantages of plant life adoration.

"By far the most sophisticated NES game of its time, indeed Nintendo had to make special modifications to the cart itself in order to fit the whole game on. Whenever you research the game on internet polls it frequently shows up in the top 20 best video games of all time – and with good reason!"

"The process of making these is actually really simple, and with programs and apps that turn any image into bead-ready templates, anyone can do it. All it takes is some patience and a few bucks to buy the material."

"Generally regarded as one of the most popular side-scrolling Mario games of all time, Super Mario Bros. 3 has reached an almost god-like status. Having come out in 1988, chances are you have played through this game multiple times, even if you weren't born by then. However, just like every video game made, Super Mario Bros. 3 did at one point go through a beta stage"

For Super Mario 3D, Nintendo should combine the best ideas from classic Mario games with the concepts from modern ones. Sure, they will create new suits and form new mechanics that haven’t been thought of, but they should absolutely bring back some favorites from the past.

"Nintendo is producing its final run of the Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition package.

Nintendo of America is producing its final run of the Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition package that celebrates the 25th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros. game. The collection went on sale on Dec. 12 and nearly all retail locations were out of stock within days. The final shipments will be in stores on March 13.

The games included in the Super Mario All-Stars collection are Super M..."

"As the father of the Mario series, you'd think Shigeru Miyamoto wouldn't have a favorite child. But he does.

At an event in New York City this week, the Nintendo legend proclaimed Super Mario World as his favorite in the series. And that got us to thinking...which game is actually the best?

You could make an argument for just about any one of them. In fact, we're about to do just that."

"Super Mario 64 also holds a secret that has yet to be solved. In the courtyard, there is a plaque that says “L is Real 2401”. People originally thought this had to do with making Luigi a playable character, but as of now he only appears in the DS port."

Ever thought Snoop Dogg and a Kirby theme song work together? The Kartel counts down the 10 best videogame music mashups, some of which work way too well to be ignored.

"Both Sony and Microsoft could learn a little something from Nintendo and how they handle their major franchises and mascots. Microsoft has milked the Halo franchise to the point that the original developer can’t stand the idea of making another one. Sony on the other hand has pushed the God of War franchise a bit too much (six releases, with a seventh coming in Ghost of Sparta in under five years), but hasn’t sacrificed quality for quantity as fans of the series and critics alike both rave ab..."

"Video game fans have a lot of hobbies outside of gaming itself. But more often than not it all ends up going full circle and coming back to the wonderful world of gaming. Sometimes family and friends support our gaming habits by making stuff for game fans. Cakes are one of those hobbies and things."

Mike Gingras is feeling a little nostalgic, unlike others of recent. At any rate, he's interested in a question and some answers. How necessary is gaming history knowledge in order to call yourself a true gamer? Check out the source for his thoughts.

An artist's rendition of what would be in Mario's wardrobe. Comprising of outfits spanning over 2 decades of games, one thing is certain; this would make a pretty sweet graphic t-shirt.

An interesting viral video has popped up recently depicting CK Edwards, star of Broadway, doing an impromptu tap routine to the music of Koji Kondo, more specifically... Super Mario Bros.

Now as a tap dancer myself I will say this it isn't anything overly crazy impressive, but it most certainly worth a look and a laugh.

The Kartel combs through hundreds of video game commercials over the last 25 years, and picks out the ones that are worth watching again. Great nostalgia all the way from the NES era til today.

The games on this list aren't neccessarily bad games or over-rated games. They are just games that were over-hyped to the point of ridiculousness and didn't end up delivering what was promised.
Here are vgchartz.com's Top 20 Most Overhyped Games Ever.

Here is part 2.

The latest issue of Famitsu lists "Super Mario Collection (known as Super Mario All-Stars internationally)" as a recently registered trademark. Don't get your hopes up just yet though folks, not all trademarks materialize as games.

If you've ever had the urge to make one of those mushrooms from the Mario games from a radish but didn't know how, your quest is no longer in vain -- Anna the Red is here to help. Check her step-by-step guide at the source to get your very own!

The Binge Gamer Villain Hall of Fame honors those who make just about every game possible---the bad guys. This second installment I like even better than the first recipient, Dr. Robotnik / Dr Eggman. Boo the Ghost wasn't in the first or second Mario game, but he has managed to be in nearly every one after.

Gamers are some of the most dedicated and passionate fans in the world. While sports fans may know the most basic facts about their team, or movie fans may know the director of their favorite film, gamers know the developer, director, producer, publisher, composer and just about everything else there is to know about their favorite games.

However, there is a fine line between healthy fandom and unhealthly obsession. Some of these people, such as the fellow who has both Mario and Luigi tatt...

"Last weekend, I took a roadtrip to Charleston, South Carolina. As per any trip whose distance is upwards of 700 miles, one needs to stop and refuel their vehicle. And, in order to minimize physical time on the road and in the car, you usually want to combine reasons for stopping whenever the vehicle does finally cease motion: meals and bathroom, gas and bathroom, etc. This is especially imperative when you're driving with a newborn. Late into the evening, I stopped for my final fill-up before..."

"It's a frequently cited fact that Mario is more recognized worldwide than Mickey Mouse (whoever that is), meaning everyone everywhere should know what he looks like, even if his official look has matured over the years.

But in his near three decades of existing, not every official or officially licensed representation of the mild-mannered jumping guy has stuck with the program. History is rife with Mario drawings that are off, laughably bad or just plain wrong. Take our trip down memory la..."

Well, It's pretty awesome. So, enjoy this talented piece of music and let the memories of Mario roll in.

"So we walked from canceled event to canceled event all three days of the VGXPO. Finally however, something actually happened, The Cosplay Competition. There was some crap (isn't there always?), but we also saw some amazing costumes. Steve Kurtz from Cruisin' 92.1 FM MC'ed the event, and the judges were wrestler and geek Eric "The Smoke" Moran; Kevin, Joey, and Eric from the web series Fighters High; and comic book artist Ashley Woods. Pictures are being posted below and video of each person t..."

Those NES games were the real deal back in the day. thezengeek.com covers 21 of the most epic endings, which not surprisingly were some of the best games for the system. From somebody who has never completed Super Mario Bros. 3, it's nice to finally see the princess saved.

Bret Elston over at GamesRadar goes through the changes in the size (both general and relative) of one of the oldest and our favorite hero/villan pairs in video gaming history- Mario and Bowser.

From the original NES games to the new Wii releases - things have gotten a little different throughout the years.

"Brian Brinegar, a 29-year-old web developer from Lafayette, Indiana, and two of his avid gamers friends, Dan May and John Groth, decided to get together and play seven Super Mario Brothers games straight through the weekend for a good cause, the Child’s Play Charity.

The trio have been playing the original Super Mario Bro. all the way through to Super Mario Galaxy. Check out the fun while it lasts at Super Mario Marathon; and please give what you can, if you’re apt to do so! To date they’v..."

Can you imagine having this on the walls in your house? I can, but I think my fiance would kill me. (Worth it) It is a little bright - but it would adorn my game-room very nicely.

And eventually when I have kids - I'm sure they would get a kick out of it.

Have you ever play through a game just to see how fast you can complete it?
Many people enjoy these so called "speedruns". It presents a fun alternative to those who don't have time to devote to developing pro gaming skills. If you have ever done a "speedrun", you know that it cannot be done with just any game.
This article chronicles the top 10 games for this emerging "sport".

With the NA releases of Sin & Punishment and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels on the Virtual Console, paying attention to which games get VC releases in both Japan and Europe get much more important, as these games are then ready to be used on the VC, and sport the possibility of crossing the ocean.

Well, Japan finally gets Super Mario Bros. 3, after both North America and Europe have had it for a month. Not much else to say, except that it is still one of the greatest games of all time...

"We love Mario, but Nintendo's plumber always hogs the spotlight. Sure, he's got a cute outfit and we giggle like school children whenever he shouts "mamma mia", but there's more to the Mushroom Kingdom than a hairy Italian guy. With that, here are some of the characters Mario stepped on to reach the top."

It's Mario Galaxy hype week. Not wanting to be left out, Europe also got one of the greatest games of all time, just without the voicemail.

The obvious highlight this week is Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES, for 500 Wii Points.

Joining it are Power Golf for the Turbografx (600 Points), which NA got along with SMB3, and [link name=Blue's Journey]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue's_Journey[/link] for the NeoGeo (900 Points).

As we continue on towards the holiday season, I'm inclined to believe that this notable games list will continue to grow into gigantic proportions.

Joystiq has Call of Duty 4 as the highlight, but honestly, you can't pin the total spotlight this week on a single game. Besides, one of the greatest games ever came out for the Virtual Console.

Notable games this week:
Alien Soldier (VC)
Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War (360, PS3)
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (360, PS3, DS, PC)
Dra...

That folks, is the voice of Mario, Charles Martinet, giving us our Wii Virtual Console releases for North America this week.

Touted as one of the greatest games of all time, Super Mario Bros. 3 will be available for download today on the Virtual Console. I, for one, will be downloading as soon as I can. It will have the standard NES pricing of 500 points. The double back-to-back week megaton of SMB3 and Super Mario Galaxy? Yes, please.

However, let's not forget the two games tha...
