"Now when most people think of sexually attractive characters in gaming, they usually assume it’s only female characters. Developers know that the men of gaming also have to “look good” too. That’s why we’ve sprinkled in a couple of the hottest men in video games as well."

It seems that history is only doomed to repeat itself with the launch of the 3DS concerning the Capcom games. When Metal Gear Solid 4 was confirmed for the PS3, it was considered a "Show stopper" although wasn't actually released for the console for another two years after the consoles release. The same grim future now looks the same for Resident Evil Revelations and Super Street Fighter IV 3D for the 3DS.

"Good to know about the 3DS games, even if it's news that there's no good news on these games are still a ways out. (Their fiscal year ends next March so no shocks here.)

It is too bad that Resident Evil PSP wasn't in their FY analysis/QA. I was hoping to get some kind of word on that game tucked up in some financial statement or offhanded comment (I have little hope that it's still in the works, though guesses are that it was what the 3DS game has become,) but it appears that this game wil..."

"Last year, (2009) was referred to by many as the year of the fighting game. The ridiculously anticipated Street Fighter 4 blew gamers away and more or less revived the genre. Marvel vs Capcom 2 returned to modern consoles, a move applauded by both new and hardcore fans. Tekken [6] landed on a non-Sony console for the first time ever, earning mostly positive feedback and reviews. Not to mention Guilty Gear developer Arc System Works made the beautiful BlazBlue. Overall it was a fantastic year ..."

"Super Street Fighter IV 3D isn't the official name for the Nintendo 3DS translation of the latest Super Street Fighter game but that's what they are calling it for now. The handheld version of the game promises to take the high-powered PS3 and Xbox 360 game and shrink it down without losing any of the playability. It sounds like it will be a while before we get a hands-on to see if this is true or not but we've got twelve new screenshots of the game in action until then."

Of course, one may be jumping to conclusions, but it does sound very likely. The Producers for Street Fighter IV on 3DS told us in an interview that "[...]it will use all of its network abilities to help gamers communicate with each other."

This was touched on during the E3 conference, but are we actually jumping to conclusions, or are Nintendo making this painfully obvious for us?

"Of course, it’ll still be months before we get to rack up massive combos and pulverise our enemies without going to jail, but at least, for now, we have this first set of official Super Street Fighter 4 screenshots. Check them out after the break."

"When Nintendo sent out the list of publishers and games for the Nintendo 3DS we were pleasantly surprised to see Capcom's Super Street Fighter IV included. The fighting game is already on the iPhone in a downgraded form but the 3DS version comes off well while retaining the art style from the high-def PS3 and Xbox 360 versions."
