"GamingUnion: "One of the most anticipated titles of early 2012, The Darkness II, hit store shelves this week, but could another iteration in the series be on the horizon sooner rather than later? Yes, if Digital Extremes' president, Michael Schmalz, has anything to say about it. During an interview with Gaming Union on the eve of The Darkness II's launch, Schmalz expressed that his team is "interested" in working on The Darkness III… if publisher 2K desires it.""

"The big release season is in full swing, and those of you with deep wallets are busy playing the huge number of quality games on offer.
But what about those who can only afford maybe one or two new releases, or maybe none at all yet? There’s a global economic slowdown on after all.

Well at OXCGN we’ve decided to put ourselves a second time in the game Animus and go back in time to discover what titles we enjoyed this gen that you should be able to get for cheap (and still play the multip..."

However, it turns out to be a set up as the mobsters driving him basically suicide bomb themselves, ensuring that Jackie doesn't get to live past 21."

Top Cow reveals during Comic-Con panel that demonic comic will see a second game; Starbreeze reportedly not involved.

Top Cow's infernal comic The Darkness found a welcome home in the gaming sector in 2007, courtesy of 2K Games and Starbreeze Studios. "Still in a Pre-Alpha state, the origins podcast is a time we take to play through games that we felt were underappreciated, underplayed, or that simply wanted to play, but never got the time to. This week, and for the next three weeks, we will be playing through The Darkness, as we journy through the tale of the most bloody awful 21st birthday ever imagined. Taking part in said journy are Sebastian Maple, Rich Matney, and Sam Acton."

"While many people are excited about the re-mastered version that will arrive via Xbox Live Arcade, I’m still hoping to see a true sequel that will live up to the lineage of the original Perfect Dark."

"For those of you not yet familiar with the Unsung Heroes series, the rules are as follows; games eligible are those disc-based releases that Electronic Theatre feels have been underrated, or treated unfairly since launch. This time, it’s the turn of the PLAYSTATION3. Being the Current-Generation machine with the fewest titles – and fewest exclusive releases, for that matter – many of you may be wondering exactly where we’ll be dragging five missed-hits from, but as with any and every console ..."

In the latest UK official PlayStation Magazine, some very juicy rumors were released. They mention a Assassin's Creed movie might be in the making, as well as a Cloverfield video game. There might also be a sequel to The Darkness, which was shot down by the developers earlier, but there are speculations that they are just buying some time. Another rumor is a new game called Spyborgs from Capcom. The last rumor is about the sequel to the PS3 exclusive video game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. The...

In a Top Cow discussion panel in this weekends New York Comic-con function, it was "winked" about that the games new owners 2K Games were currently in the works of creating a sequel to the acclaimed title The Darkness. Nothing further was announced about the title but at least a small but not solid sign of it happening is better then nothing, right?

"4. Dante and Trish - Devil May Cry Series (PS2)
If the best girl a man can find is one that reminds him of his mother, then Dante has certainly hit the jackpot. Created by the demon lord Mundus during the first game to resemble the devil hunter's mother Eva, Trish wound up developing feelings for Dante, helping him to defeat Mundus and ending up as his partner. While the fact that her feelings stem from being made in his mother's image is kind of creepy if you stop and think about it, there'..."

"The critical popularity of flagship titles, mixed with continued fan attraction to established franchises and the introduction of valuable new IPs (intellectual properties), has also led to considerable commercial success. Software sales are on the rise to the tune of around $10.5 billion (through October) in the United States, while the UK gaming market has taken a total of around £1.52 billion during 2007."

"Before getting into Maxim’s top-ten selection, it is worth bearing in mind that its expertise and coverage in the world of gaming is marginal when compared to the print space it reserves for scantily clad female celebrities. Indeed, while you probably wouldn’t rely on FHM for movie reviews over the likes of Empire or Premiere, you shouldn’t place too much stock in Maxim when it comes to gaming – especially if it’s sitting next to Edge Magazine on the shelf."

"All those U.S. parents unable to understand and appreciate the usual ‘E for Everyone’ and ‘T for Teen’ and ‘M for Mature’ guidelines slapped onto all videogame packaging (which are provided for parents by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board) should probably think twice before purchasing the following for pesky ankle biters below the age of 17 or 18..."

"Given its placement as ‘largest game of the week’ when it comes to the release listings, GamerSquad thought it only right and proper to focus in on The Darkness – courtesy of the 360 – and allow the gathered critical throngs to pass their all-too fickle judgement on 2K Games and StarBreeze’s latest eerie first-person shooter. Apparently it’s a bit good."
