Although the game is supposed to come out officially tomorrow, players have experienced some issues during online play, according to a spokesperson. In order to remedy this, they will be releasing online patches with the first one being released tomorrow for the PS3 (no word on when the 360 one can be downloaded yet). Tomorrow's patch is supposed to reduce noticeable lag and improve stability online.

With news of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 being delayed, King of Fighters XII is the latest fighting game to suffer the same fate. The Japanese build was initially supposed to come out on July 16. However, it's being pushed to a now obscure "July release" instead. The reason cited for this delay is to improve on the title. This might not be so horrible for Japanese fans who can surely wait out 2 weeks at the very most; however, there is no idea about how this can impact the release date in Europe and ...

Gamers loved the Japanese box art for The King of Fighters XII, so Ignition Entertainment have decided to give fans a choice. They are asking the public to choose which box-art they would like to see come to America.
"Option 1" is the Japanese box art, while "Option 2" is the box art that was originally intended for North America.

We know that SNK's King of Fighters XII will be ported from arcades to the PS3 and Xbox 360. Publisher Ignition sends by word that the English site for the console ports is online. It's a little sparse at the moment, but you can grab some cool wallpapers, check out some exclusive new screens for the upcoming title and register for a chance to place in an upcoming KOF tourney to be held in LA. As the game's July 7th release draws closer, we can definitely expect to see more stuff.
