"Steampowered.com is permitting customers to play the co-op online zombie survival game Killing Floor for free this weekend. Although this may appear to be overt Communist activity on American soil, it is actually a marketing tactic to entice customers into buying the game, which is on sale at 75% off for five dollars through this weekend."

Gamers are not always accepting of new people or new things so it is some what of a shocker that video games are adding more and more gay players. The Sims 3 just now has received its second major patch, bringing the game up to version 1.3.24. Grab it via the EADM or the source here if you prefer.

The first patch for The Sims 3 was released just a couple of hours ago -- if you don't wish to sell your soul to the EA Download Manager (or just use it anyway, cause hey, it's not a very fun application sometimes) some direct links to it can be found here.
Note the patch is causing major issues for some users, though this may be only for those which have mods installed (like those the Custom Content Tool affords). Our (mod-free) testing resulted in no issues.

Recently there was a lot of talk about in-game advertising with The Sims 3. Well now, according to EA Games, they will be partnering up with Dr. Pepper. Now your Sim can enjoy a nice cool Dr. Pepper at their next house party.
According to The Sims 3 producer MJ Chun, the thing which most hurts your Sim's mood is being on fire. Second up, and pretty far behind is starvation, and just behind that is heartbreak.
On the positive end of the scale, the best thing that can happen is having children -- for 24 hours after having a child (even twins or triplets), your mood will be boosted 60 points.
