The Witcher 1 and 2 are available at a rock bottom price of $24 on GOG.com for a limited time. Game Freaks 365 gave The Witcher 2 a 9.4 out of 10 earlier in the year.

Senior Producer of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Tomasz Gop has left CD Projekt Red after nearly two years with the company. This news comes via a LinkedIn profile update...

"CD Projekt RED is one of the new and shiny beacons of RPG development. As an indie studio, they managed to convince us that they are quite capable of developing quality games with their Witcher franchise back in 2007. Now, they managed to mesmerize us with Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, their new title. We adored the title here and decided to talk with CD Projekt RED about their achievement and the game’s success."

NoobFeed.com gets a message from CD Projekt RED, the makers of The Witcher, that they'll be making a big announcement in both their newest project and releases for GOG.com before E3. You'll also be able to catch the whole thing through live web stream!

"Influenced? Cliched erotic content? Ladies and gents, I think the gauntlet has now been thrown. Jan then tries to back out by adding,

"Dragon Age really was influenced by us and that's great, because it's a genre that doesn't have that many games and it's not like that serious a competition..."

But it's too late, Bartkowicz. You can't unthrow the gauntlet. GAUNTLET UNTHROWING IS NOT ALLOWED."

"As we make our way through 2010, what better thing is there to do than to take a look back at the last ten years, browse over the RPGs released during that time and talk about them? Of those RPGs, which were the most notable? Which were the ones that set the scene for the decade and which of those should be forgotten?

No really, does anyone have any better ideas because we're all out of them.

For our purposes, we'll officially declare 1st January 2000 as the opening of this decade. Tech..."

"Dragon Age: Origins is the biggest singleplayer role-playing game release of the season. It's also the only big-budget singleplayer RPG coming out this season. The RPG is one of the oldest genres in gaming, but big releases are becoming rarer each year.

We examine the state of the big-budget single-player RPG with a group of RPG developers. Each comes from a different facet of the market. Is it dying? Are the tastes of RPG gamers changing? What role do MMOs, consoles, and handhelds play? I..."

"The Hotfix patch resolves problems related to EAX technology, which did not operate properly in conjunction with the game and generated critical errors when activated in the Game Options panel, and also eliminates the blur remaining after cut scenes and dialogue sequences."

CD Projekt, the fellas behind The Witcher, have been awarded the title of Entrepreneurs of the Year by Ernst & Young. The candidates were judged on their "resourcefulness, innovativeness, good management and the measure of worldwide success achieved by the company thanks to offering products better than those offered by foreign companies."

The Witcher, a previously PC exclusive action title is now coming to the PS3 and the 360 in the form of The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf, released in a video interview on Gametrailers. It was well received on the PC, so it should be worth looking into.

A new mod is on the official Witcher site called John's Diary. Head on over to the Adventures Page linked in the article title and below in the source link to find the new mod there for all interested in giving it a try!

""Some companies make a game for everyone. We decided to stick to a specific audience," said Kicinski.

When shopping the game around to publishers, CD Projekt was hell bent on keeping the subject matter and content true to the designers' original vision. "There are these business guys trying to a set a sales figure by trying to make a game for everyone," Kicinski added. "But that's just hoping for money that won't come. Not everyone will like it. For me, it's kind of brave to say, 'We're no..."

"Scientists Uncover Irrefutable Evidence that Single-Player PC Gaming is not Dead as CD Projekt RED’s RPG of the Year Breaks Sales Milestone

All the ghouls, vampires and wenches in the world couldn’t stop the white-haired Geralt from conquering the world! CD Projekt RED is proud to announce that The Witcher, the epic RPG that puts players in the morally lenient boots of the aforementioned anti-hero, has sold more than a million copies to real, live people since its release twelve months ago..."

"The biggest and best change is easily the inclusion of native and multiple audio tracks to chose from. Much like foreign films and television shows, sometimes the original voice actors just do a better job of conveying the emotion and mood of the character; The Witcher is no exception. With the inclusion of the original audio track (and multiple other languages) along with English subtitles, finally we can play the game without the awful English dubbing the original release forced us to endur..."

The games should start arriving this week at retailers Wednesday, September 17, and they should have a good truckload this time. Tons of stuff out to coincide with the fall season, and a nice bit of it is very promising. From Dragon Quest IV to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed to Crysis Warhead to WAR to Rock Band 2, gamers won't have trouble finding their blockbuster title of choice, though the trouble may be in finding how many one can afford.

The Witcher a high praised action game for the PC was confirmed just a few days ago to be hitting Next Gen consoles. You can expect the game to hit te 360 almost without fail, but whether a PS3 version is to be expected alongside this is still up to debate. However there is a little evidence to support the game heading to the PS3, apparently a ad has been posted by developer CD Projk for a PS3 programmer

The Witcher, which was released last October, is set to be re-released by CD Projekt in a new enhanced version. This new version will have all those objects that were requested in the old version but were found to be absent in it's first release. Some of the new features include a map editor, a game music soundtrack and and dvd that shows the making of the game.

This enhanced version of The Witcher is set to release the 6th of May in Europe and hopefully soon there after for the rest of t...

Thanks to the guys at worthplaying.com we have 5 new screenshots of The Witcher. From the screenshots I must say this game looks amazing. You play as a man named Geralt known for being a monster slayer for hire and an excellent swordsman. Geralt has lost his memory and he is on a quest to regain it.

"We started work with great impetus, which may have been unwarranted, because we had the impression that the game could be completed in a very short time. In the fall we started testing new unit-rendering graphics. The first tests were satisfactory in terms of the visual quality, but not so much in terms of efficiency and performance. The environments we created looked far better in 3DS Max (3D graphics program) than those from NWN. The great speed at which we were working had its drawbacks. T..."
