David Jaffe announced via his Twitter that Twisted Metal is now in the hands of pre-release reviewers awaiting initial judgment before the February 14 release date
"Once 2011 begins, mankind will only have one more year remaining until….the end of the world. Within mankind’s final year, a huge blow out of highly anticipated games are going to be released. Some are new I.P’s while some are sequels. Some you’ve never heard of while some are more famous than bread on a stick (wait is that even famous?). Gentlemen & ladies (gentlemen first), allow me to introduce to you the most wanted games of 2011!"
"Sony is banking on new technologies and accessories for the PS3 to continue their push forward against the competition. It also doesn't hurt that the 3D on the PS3 can help push 3D HDTVs in the same way it helped push Blu-ray. The VP of Everything, Kevin Butler, was also on hand to bring some laughs and to introduce his PSP sidekick. We digested the press conference over night and look back at the good, the bad, the ugly, and what was missing in the Nintendo's E3 keynote presentation."
"he God of War director Tweeted:
"Well I assure you 100% that is not accurate. If my game would be at E3, I would be there. ALSO we are NOT making that game."
"I will say this about the list: makes me excited for E3! Even tho I'm watching it from my home, I can't wait already!!!!"
So there you have it, more waiting required we're afraid."
During the 13th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards in Las Vegas, David Jaffe seemingly confirmed a new Twisted Metal game and a possible release date.

"The spookiest holiday of all is upon us, so today I would like to talk about the scariest, the most vile monster in all horrordom.
We’re not talking Freddy, Jason, Leatherface or any other demi-human serial killer. We’re talking about clowns a.k.a harbingers of small cars, seltzer water, custard pies, and unwanted hijinx. While I do not suffer from coulrophobia (fear of clowns) I do have a general distrust for them for some reason. I think it all stems from my early self watching the made f..."

"When David Jaffe released Twisted Metal Head On: Extra Twisted Edition he promised that there was a hidden message in the game that would reveal the next project for Jaffe's Eat Sleep Play development studio.
Well it may have been "hidden really, really, really well" but you know how hardcore fans can be. A group over at Gamefaq managed to decipher the message in record time, discovering that it reads: METAL IS COMING ON PSTHREE.
I contacted Jaffe, who's hanging at DICE this week, to se..."
Could a Twisted Metal Sequel be in the works? Well chances are that it is. The mysterious image clearly shows a clown face in the plume of smoke which Advanced Media Network believe may represent Twisted Metal's main character Sweet Tooth.
To know whether this is true or not, we'll have to wait some time, however what is most mysterious is the actual source of the Image... AdvancedMN mention nothing as to where the image is from...
"After the news made the rounds today, David Jaffe responded in a posting on the NeoGAF forums: "I can promise you guys I am still part of SCEA...I just got a paycheck from them! I am still 100% a Sony employee and unless I got fired today and they didn't tell me, I'm still working for them. Also, I love working with the guys at Incog and hope to work with them for a long, long time but I sure as s**t ain't moving to Utah...nice as it is, I don't think I could live there long term and I don't ..."
