"Arcades were a staple of early video games and the main place where kids would go to play games in the 1980’s. Sure there were home consoles, like the Atari 2600, the ColecoVision and others but until the mid-1990’s arcades were a huge part of gaming culture. Out of these arcades came many classic games and fan favorites including Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Pong. These titles were beloved back then and we still look on them with fond memories. But should they stay just that? Many companies ..."
"There’s nothing more charming than a neat little independent game that has charm and style… except for these lot. Disappointments would be understatements since some of them have killed potential sequels with their abysmal performances."
Times are tough and money is tight, as the economy has made game purchasing tougher these days. These great XBLA games however, will guarantee to give you the most bang for your buck.

Nickelodeon has acquired the global rights for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for $60 million. Considered one of the most successful franchises in the past 25 years, the Turtles have had a successful run in cartoons, movies, toy lines, and of course video games.

"I don’t often play Xbox Live Arcade games. You might say that I’m even be avoiding them, especially with some experiences I’ve had in the past that I won’t mention here.
But when I saw the opportunity to play a TMNT game, particularly one that is in fact a ‘re-shelling’, if you will, of a classic Konami game, I could not deny my little Xbox from downloading the 286 megabytes of fun (my Xbox has a mind of its own sometimes, you see). Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time – Re-Shell..."
"The Xbox LIVE Arcade release is not quite a faithful recreation of the original, instead deciding to update the formula, for better or worse. Some of the major changes come in the form of radical gameplay modernisations such as 360º combat (as opposed to simply offering left or right attacks as with original 2D game) double-jumps, a selection of four difficulty settings and, of course, the option to have four players playing co-operatively online. Other new developments, however, may not be q..."

This topic has been heard plenty of times, which are better achievements or trophies. One can question its launch with the console vs maybe a tack on feature. The real question is who values them more for their respective console? The staff at LVLONE discusses the different features each console presents.
This is one of the few Arcade additions that I am actually excited about. I have fond memories of playing this during the glory days of coinops here in NYC, and lamenting the pixelated home version when it was finally released. The new polygon models, I must admit, look fantastic. Great to see the Turtles returning in true form and given the care/respect they deserve. Kowabunga!

"Remakes are cheap, easy, nostalgic and give younger gamers a chance to play a classic they missed due to being in the womb. After major gaming conglomerates (mostly Capcom) realized how much money they could make more and more have been popping up these days.
Within the next year gamers will see a good number of remakes; check out a handful that we can’t wait to get our grubby little paws on."
