"Ubisoft recently sent out word that anyone who has an addiction to putting their butt onto seats and sitting there for hours on end while clicking furiously on a mouse and attempting world domination with little 3D figures and miniature on-screen tanks, will probably want to get in on the newly launched closed-alpha test for Tom Clancy’s Endwar Online."
"It’s always nice to get a bargain, every gamer loves them, so it’s great to see some of Ubisoft’s great titles getting a discount for the upcoming week.
It may well inspire me to grab a few packs from the ones on offer, especially the HAWX’s ones, as that’s a favourite of mine.
Make sure you take advantage of the offers, and stock up on some of the outfits as well for Splinter Cell Convictions Co-Op outfits. Have to look your best when fighting with your mates on live – don’t you??
"If ever a gaming genre has become a lightning rod for brow-knotting aphorisms, it’s real-time strategy. Conventional wisdom dictates that RTS has failed to crack the console market in this or any other generation, despite repeated attempts from talented teams, and its native PC home has been relentlessly attacked by pirates in recent years. It’s a two-pronged assault to which even the biggest names in games have apparently no answer, say the worriers."
"French publisher Ubisoft has confirmed that a small team it its Shanghai development studio is currently hard at work at a sequel to last year’s voice-controlled Tom Clancy RTS offering EndWar.
The main development priority, according to creative director Michael De Plater, is improving both the depth and narrative of the single player experience.
“You can compare EndWar to World in Conflict or Company of Heroes, where they invest a lot in the storytelling,” De Plater told Videogamer...."

"Putting together a list of the Top 50 Strategy games is like grabbing a handful of pins and seeing which one hurts the most. Like every pin that pricks, every game involves some form of strategy. Sure, we're a discerning bunch--not to mention absolute suckers for punishment--so we decided to stick our hands in anyway to see what we'd come out with.
Obviously, with literal decades of titles to choose from, we knew we'd need some ground rules to make this all work. We started out with nearly..."
"Ubisoft have decided to run an extremely generous Christmas promotion through their online store, Electronic Theatre can reveal today. "You've read about some of our favorite games of the year. Now it's time for the disappointments.
The games below, chosen by the usual panel of Wired.com contributors, is in no way supposed to be a list of the worst games of 2008. Those are all for the Wii, cost $10, are about dogs and/or babies, and we wouldn't be caught dead playing them. No, these are the games that let us down the most this year. Most of them are actually good games. But they failed to live up to the hype, or didn't del..."

Ubisfot are not ones to sit on their laurels . They have EA firmly in their sights, and are doing a damn fine job of catching up.
Their recent acquisition of Massive Entertainment not only grabbed them World In Conflict, but now Massive will be making a NEW MMO for their new parent company. News came out today about the game.
So slip over to the site to check it out, PLUS the great Ghost call-up for EndWar . Ubisoft are seeking GRAW Teams to "enlist" in their new online EndWar game.
Perhaps I am biased towards PC gaming (though I love my consoles), all attempts at bringing RTS gameplay to the console (IMHO) has failed. EndWar tries to one-up the trend by giving players the ability to control units giving voice commands... does it work? My boy Adam Rosenberg offers his opinion. I think I'll wait to see if they ever do a PC version...
"Okay, so I know this is my second ‘bird’ post of the week, which is kind of odd, but I couldn’t pass this one up. What you are about to see is Tom Clancy’s new console-riffic RTS game, End War, being played by a pair of parrots. If this doesn’t pique your interest in the game than you have no heart.
"Today Ubisoft announced that Tom Clancy's EndWar will be released for the NintendoDS system and the PSP (PlayStation Portable) system. Developed by Funatics Software and optimized for the handheld platforms, Tom Clancy's EndWar is rated T for "teen" and will ship to retailers on..."

"The graphics on this game are not the most amazing I have ever seen in a game and simply put, it doesnt matter. The game looks good and plays well and the whole voice command thing really makes you feel like youre actually controlling an army. Pushing buttons and clicking mice are fine but there was always a logic disconnect from the control scheme to the content of the game. This has simply been removed."
We've all been wondering what games will contain Trophies, ever since they launched back a couple of months ago, and whilst only a few titles have been patched with trophies so far, how exactly does the future of Trophies and the Playstation 3 look? Well, ps3trophies.org decided to go to Leipzig to ask that question and they've got back a list of games that will include trophy support.
Apparently, the official invites to participate in the Tom Clancy's EndWar Xbox 360 beta test are being sent out today. Sign-ups to be considered for an invite occurred some time ago and there is no official word on how many signed up or have been chosen to participate in the event. EndWar is an upcoming RTS set in the near-future, featuring a unique voice-controlled gameplay system.
