"Tomb Raider had a bit of a clumsy release on the Playstation 3. In a time period where every game would be expected to carry trophies on release, Tomb Raider didn’t perform, which had an initial dent in sales to begin with. When the Asian version of the game went on sale however, it had trophies from launch, which only made western gamers more frustrated. Eidos had detailed that they were cooking up an english patch a few months back, and finally, Playstation 3 owners will get the chance to t..."

"Eidos Interactive has announced Tomb Raider: Underworld will be released as part of the Classics range for Xbox 360 and Platinum Hits range for PLAYSTATION 3 from today, May 22nd, 2009."

Those of you who've been holding off on purchasing Tomb Raider: Underworld, nows the perfect time- Eidos has announced that the trophy patch will be released on thursday next week, 28th May.

This week I give 368 out of 52 GameGreps multiplied by ∞ divided by P(R)!

PC gamers can get their hands on Empire: Total War and/or 2K Sports' latest game in the baseball field (as can just about everyone else for the latter), PS3 owners see Tom Clancy's HAWX, Xbox 360 welcomes Halo Wars, and Phantasy Star Portable arrives on Sony's handheld.

"Beneath the Ashes is the first of two brand new downloadable levels in the continuing Tomb Raider adventures of Lara Croft and is available now priced at 800 Microsoft Points."

"Right.. lots of people have been asking about trophy support for the PS3.

The guys at Crystal have been looking into this for a long time because they really wanted to include it. The good news is that I can confirm that a patch for the PS3 version of Tomb Raider: Underworld is being worked on that will enable Trophy Support."

"The BBC reports that Eidos "is considering revising the look and play of her Tomb Raider adventures, which may see efforts to make her more female-friendly." There's no further elaboration on how they plan to make the character "female-friendly", though one would imagine they'll start by giving Lara a body that's less likely to induce poor self-esteem among women who aren't hundred-pound gymnasts with triple-F boobs."

According to a report, Lara Croft's latest outing, Tomb Raider Underworld, sold at least 500,000 less copies than projected pre-Christmas. And the publisher, Eidos, fell £20million (approx. $30.5million) short of its projected overall profit. While Lara's new game did alright in Europe, being a top 10 game in the franchise's origin country, the UK, sales across the Pond weren't so profitable.

"It’s the eleventh day of Christmas today, and that means it’s time for the eleventh instalment in The Twelve Games of Christmas. A feature series running every day on the twelve days of Christmas here at Electronic Theatre, The Twelve Games of Christmas aims to highlight the top performers of 2008 month-by-month, and help you decide what you should be picking-up in those January sales!"

"The second Tomb Raider Underworld costume pack featuring wetsuit outfits is now available to download on Xbox Live. A first pack featuring Lara Croft in her classic outfits was released on December 23, 2008. Both are available to download free courtesy of publisher Eidos plc and Microsoft."

"Of course, we can’t say otherwise about Activision or Nintendo, even though the companies could be a bit upset they did not manage to break some records with their titles. But maybe next year… until then, here are the bestselling titles in the UK:

1. FIFA 09
2. Call of Duty: World at War
3. Mario Kart Wii
4. Need For Speed Undercover
5. Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training
6. Wii Play
7. Quantum of Solace
8. Professor Layton and the Curious Village
9. Tomb Raider Underworld
10. Wii Fit"

"EA SPORTS’ FIFA 09 has become UK’s all-format Christmas number one following a late sales spike at the retailers. The highly successful sports title, which was considered second-place in the running for the top spot, stole the accolade from under Activision’s Call Of Duty: World At War’s nose..."

When you hear "Eidos" and "review" on the same topic you're probably reminded of the Kane and Lynch Gamespot / Jeff Gertsmann incident and we all know what happened the last time that controversy reared it's ugly head.

Well, Eidos is at it again but this time Eidos UK are asking that all reviewers who are giving Tomb Raider: Underworld a score lower than 8/10 should hold off on posting it till Monday as to not tarnish the already mid range score of 78 on MetaCritic.

Interestingly enough...

"Eidos Interactive, creator of some of the world's leading video game properties, today confirms that the new official Tomb Raider: Underworld website has just gone live. Created entirely from in-game footage, the interactive site showcases some of the epic locations found in Tomb Raider: Underworld and takes players on a journey to the depths of the Kraken Room in the Mediterranean, on the muddy bike trails in Chiapas, Mexico and deep into the hostile jungles of Thailand.

Every section of..."

The guys over at Pwn or Die have done their best to photoshop Alaskan Governor turned potential Vice President Sarah Palin into some of our favorite video games as some of our favorite ladies.

From Cortana in Halo to Meryl in MGS, and even Samus and Lara Croft - it is worth peek for a laugh.

The whole Tomb Raider franchise and the new PS3 game Uncharted : Drake's Fortune seem to have certain similarities. And as a result, some gamers tend to think that in trying to out do Uncharted, TR : Underworld may lose its puzzle/adventure quality and become another game focused on action like Uncharted.
But the senior brand manager of Tomb Raider says that they’re not feeling like they’re under pressure to out-do Uncharted and that the upcoming Tomb Raider: Underworld “will be very differe...
