Too Human was considered one of the biggest video game flops of this generation. Developer Silicon Knights devoted over a decade towards the title for little success. However, it seems that won't stop the developer from completing the trilogy the title was supposed to have. Check out the full story for all the details.

Ok so this guy, Denis Dyak, thinks that his game, Too Human, is awesome. Great I hear you say. Where's the story in that? Well this does provide an interesting look at how over-hyping can give some seriously warped expectations for a game. The short piece also gives a nice insight into the biased view of a game's developers when they are discussing their new creation.

"Microsoft has just announced that the long-awaited title from Silicon Knights, Too Human, has gone gold. After years of speculation and constant speed bumps, the development team at Silicon Knights has managed to finish Too Human."

This week Gaming Verdict's Richie Harkness takes a humorous spin through the 360's lineup as well as giving some of the announcements of the week due mention. With crosswords and FFXIII on show, there's a wider mix than ever...

The first impressions of the XBox 360's Too Human are starting to pour in and the opinions are rather mixed, ranging from good to downright awful.
The harshest review comes from a mod and journalist over at Eurogamer, who has given a scathing report on the game, claiming that it is the "worst game [he has] played in the last 5 years". Ouch!

""Silicon Knights’ director and president, Denis Dyack, and director of design, Henry Sterchi, explain how players will distribute their loot, build their characters and execute killer combos.""

Yep, that's right, after being delayed comparably as much as Duke Nukem Forever, Too Human finally has a release date for its 'hunter-gatherer' Action/RPG: August 19 in North America, and August 29 in Europe. Rejoice!

With the new edition of High Definition consoles now in stores and selling rapidly like wild fire, the world of video gaming in of itself, is quickly changing. Not long ago you loomed around lazily playing games with a quality so cringing, you literally wanted to rip your eyes out right then and there. But with the new release of all these astounding consoles such as The Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3, the world of gaming has been brightened up and much, much more energizing.

But now, we ...

"Buying all those sleek (and not-so-sleek) boxes to fit under your telly isn’t just a burden on the wallets of consumers, reckons Silicon Knights' Denis Dyack - it’s also an unsustainable state of affairs for the gaming industry as a whole.

Speaking in a lecture at the GCDC in Leipzig, Dyack predicted that a ‘one console future’ may not be too far away, and could even occur in the next round of hardware."

Too Human, the project being worked on by Silicon Knights has been going back to the PS1 days and people have been starting to keep their hopes down and have been speculating the game won't even be close to released in the next 3 years. The founder of Silicon Knights himself has speculated that the game should be out in 2008 along with A DEMO FORTHCOMING! Fans of Eternal Darkness have been wanting Silicon Knights to get this game over with so they can also see an Eternal Darkness sequel. Good...

Silicon Knights are suing Epic Games over the Unreal Tournament engine, by stating a breach of contract caused damages to its upcoming title "Too Human". Why has this happened.. ?

Silicon Knights asked Epic for the Unreal Tournament engine for the 360 shooter "Too Human" but Epic failed to meet the deadline of 6 months that was given because of E3 2006, this caused delays and loss of millions. Gears of War which uses the same system was created in time for E3 2006 and from this means Silic...

Round One has begun between Silicon Knights and Epic Games, as Silicon Knights who were previously reported to have dropped the Epic Engine for the XBOX 360 game Too Human, have filed a 54-page lawsuit against Epic Games over the Unreal Engine 3.

The lawsuit states that due to contractual breaches, they were foced to create their own game engine causing them [Silicon Kinights] to spend time and resources on creating it's engine rather than focusing on their games, which in turn also caused...

In the second part of GameIndustry.biz's interview with Silicon Knights' president Denis Dyack, the Too Human producer muses on the lessons learned from working with both Nintendo and Microsoft. Dyack again expresses his disillusion with games which take too long to finish, but the most interesting tidbits concern his thoughts on an "over-saturated" games market:

This article starts out by looking at Too Human from the PSOne era, then to the Gamecube era, to the Xbox 360 era, and finally a look at 2007 at beyond. The series Too Human has come a long way since its Playstation One days, and it seems like it will go even farther than it has come. Read more about this action-adventure game inside. Does anyone play this series?

"Storms do, though, eventually pass, and plenty of games with poor first showings have gone on to become outstanding final products. Take, for example, a little title called Halo, which looked clunky and unpolished in its early state, but sure came together in the end. Now add in the fact that Silicon Knights has a proven track record. It created the Legacy of Kain franchise. It delivered one of the highest-rated GameCube titles, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, to Nintendo fans. And it eve..."
