A live action movie based on the Turok franchise has been announced, by its star, apparently - US Native American actor Adam Beach. Beach is little known, but has acted in television shows like Moose TV, Bottoms Up and Skinwalker, as well as the war film Flags of our Fathers. The good news is he's passionate about the role. The film, he estimates, will arrive in theaters in roughly two years.
User 'dfw monkie' on The Llamma's Game Console Forums has posted his/her personally made case mod for the Xbox 360. Modeled after alligator skin (I assume it's modeled), it's easily one of the eeriest yet. It kind of resembles a dinosaur more than an alligator though, maybe; could've been a great promotion for Turok, perhaps.

Remember the old games on the N64 where you had to blast the crap out of dinosaurs and use a bow kill things from far away? Remember Turok?
The first Turok installment on the next-gen console got a nice rating: a 7/10.

IGN has just got a media blowout for Turok. They got some brand new videos and screen shots. The game will be released in Febuary. If you pre-order the game at Gamestop next month, you get a free T-shirt and a demo.

Disney just announced the release date for their next-gen Turok series, developed by Propaganda Games. It will be coming out February 8, 2008 for Europe. No word for American release but it will probably be around the same time frame. The game was supposed to come out this summer but it was a smart move to move it to winter and not be overshadowed by games like Halo 3 and Call Of Duty 4.
