The Uncharted series is notable for its cinematic gameplay and style, and the set pieces are a big part of that. But which ones stood out the most? Which ones had us on the edge of our seat the whole time?

"GamingUnion: "Although they haven't produced bucket loads of original IPs in their lifetime, Naughty Dog has still become a staple brand within the game industry. The IPs they've created have offered gamers the very best in terms of creativity and graphics and you'll be pushed to find someone who will disagree. With Crash Bandicoot, Jax and Daxter, and, of course, the Uncharted series under their belt, many would say Naughty Dog has got it made. In honor of the recent announcement of the Last..."

"Friday the 13th is the day you’re most likely to get struck by lightning, run over by an ambulance and stabbed in the face by a bad tempered fella with a hockey mask, so why not do yourself a favor and remain indoors with our top five list of the unluckiest characters in gaming history."

NoobFeed.com celebrates Halloween in style. Playing dress up at the local convention can be a little intimidating or even embarassing, so here are some ways to support fan faovirtes without losing face or shedding clothes. It's cold this time a year, so we can't have people running around with no clothes on. Happy Halloween!

The official box art has been revealed for the upcoming Playstation 3 compilation, Uncharted Trilogy Edition (which contains Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception).

A retailer is currently discounting Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection, God of War: Origins Collection, Resistance Dual Pack Greatest Hits and Uncharted Greatest Hits Dual Pack to under $25.

"A brilliant and successful new IP can affect an entire generation of games and game players; I consider these to be the best new franchises of this current generation (2005-present)."

"Everyone knows I'm a huge fan of Comic books and Uncharted, so the very prospect of an Uncharted comic book makes me so excited I could scream like a girl. It's like mixing peanut butter with chocolate it's pure genius. What makes this news even better is the fact DC Comics will be publishing the series when it is released later this year."

Given the history of video game adaptions there has been some decent ones albeit some absolute shockers. IGN gives their view on how the uncharted movie could be a hit.

When David O. Russell left the director's chair for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (the movie adaptation of the incredibly popular videogame) fans all over the world rejoiced! Then came all of the speculation about who would take over, and how much longer it would take for this film to get off the ground. Well, Sony has announced that they've chosen a new writer and director for the movie.

Amazon France has revealed what appear to be the official European box arts for the recently revealed Ratchet & Clank Future, Resistance and Uncharted dual packs.

"If you are new to the PlayStation 3 scene and are looking to catch up on a lot of the systems best offerings from years past, or you somehow managed to avoid the best games on the system, Sony's got you covered. Three of the console's biggest franchises, Resistance, Uncharted, and Ratchet & Clank, are now getting their very own box sets."

After the recent screenshot leak of the NGP Uncharted title, little else was known. But just a moment ago, the game has been officially announced under the title: Uncharted Golden Abyss.

Acclaimed director David O. Russell (The Fighter, Three Kings, Flirting With Disaster) is no longer attached to the Uncharted film adaptation. That'll probably make a lot of gamers happy, as his ideas for the film were controversial.

In this episode Victor, Tyler and Craig are joined by Graham from AustralianSocialGamers and we discuss the up-coming first person shooter titles of 2011. We also delve into the Uncharted series.

Can the third Uncharted game possibly improve on the others? Megabits of Gaming thinks so - here is our wishlist for the upcoming game. Bigger, better, longer and with more varied environments - and what about the love interest?

This morning Sony announced the successor to their PSP, codenamed NGP. The system specs look really good on paper, but how will this system really stack up against its competition the 3DS?

An interview with the developers of the Uncharted games, some very big news slips out about the movie. The developers deny the news about their being a 'family dynamic' in the film and tell fans that Mark Wahlberg is NOT attached to play the lead role. News like this is giving so far disgruntled fans hope for this film after all.

"Regarding the upcoming Uncharted movie:

a-I wish Uncharted fans would have faith that Amy,the crew at Naughty Dog, and the peeps at Sony will only allow the Uncharted flick to happen if it lives up to the franchise standards. I get you may be suspicious of movie makers, but on the game side, none of those peeps I listed above have done anything to arouse suspicion that they are sell outs. Quite the opposite.

b- Fans frequently/consistently fail to appreciate the necessary differences ..."

Many fans were angered about Nathan Fillion not being cast as Nate Drake in David O. Russell's Uncharted movie, but one fan has gone so far as to actually confront the director face-to-face about it.

Whether gamers like him or not, Mark Wahlberg will be donning the jeans and ragged long-shirt that made Nathan Drake popular in a movie version of the popular game. The article lists a few reasons why that may not be such a good idea.

"Let's face it; Metal Gear Solid 4 was basically a film anyway. If ever an example is needed of a game that gives more time to cut scenes then it does to gaming, MGS4 is it. Did that make it a bad game? No. And that fact in itself proves that Metal Gear Solid could be the basis for a fantastic film."

While rumors and unconfirmed information has been swirling the internet since the announcement of a big-screen adaption of Uncharted, it's finally confirmed that acclaimed film-maker David O. Russel will healm the project.

While stereotypical characters are still fun and fitting for certain video games, it's nice to recognize characters that go against these stereotypes and make a unique name for themselves.

Nathan Fillion desperately wants the lead in the 'Uncharted: Drake's Fortune' big screen adaptation and is using his devoted fan base to create an Internet stir with the help of Twitter.

"David O. Russell (Three Kings, The Fighter) has been set to write and direct Columbia Pictures’ Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, an action-adventure based upon the bestselling PlayStation 3 game, it was announced today by Doug Belgrad and Matt Tolmach, presidents of Columbia Pictures. The film will be produced by Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Ari Arad, and Alex Gartner.

The story follows the adventures of treasure hunter Nathan Drake.

Commenting on the announcement, Tolmach said, “David is a tre..."

"Gamers can debate all day about which video game character is the hottest; but there is no debate as to which console has the hottest exclusive game babes. The Playstation 3 has some of the best exclusive titles and among those are some of the hottest babes. We run down out top five ps3 babes. Sure we could have run down the usual list of fighters and Ninja Gaiden babes, but those aren’t exclusives. These women are only from games found on the Playstation this generation. As usual, we don’t n..."

You might think Uncharted's protagonist Nathan Drake is charming, witty, funny, and most importantly realistic. But behind that handsome face is a sadistic side just waiting to come out, kick someone to the ground, then laugh in their face.

Forget the game's where you play the role of a murderer who kills for kicks, or a criminal who steals cars and robs banks, or a terrorist who destroys cities for his own selfish cause. They're nothing compared to the pure evil that is Nathan Drake.

"There's no doubt that Uncharted 3 is an eventual reality. The big question is what the game will entail. I have found some clues from Uncharted 2 as well as Uncharted: The Eye of Indra and thrown them in with my own thoughts and some common video game cliches. None of this is proven, it is just my own thoughts of what Uncharted 3 could be about."

"Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and the three of us each has a hot date all lined up. But we also have a secret. On the most romantic day of the year, a part of each of our minds will probably be thinking about the virtual relationships we've been cultivating with our new favorite game characters. Creepy? Maybe. But we're pretty sure we're not alone.

There was a time when such an idea would have been unthinkable. We love games dearly, but there's traditionally been an emotional ..."

"I'm not going to get into the hows and whys of what ended us (it is pretty vile), but there is a reason why I'm sharing this tidbit of life experience with you. I came to a sudden realization during this crazy time period of my life:

I really *bleep*ing missed video games.

Now, don't get me wrong, I still was able to play games here and there through my short tenure as a husband, but most of those bursts of 30 minutes to 1 hour of gaming bliss were met with matrimonial gunfire and thre..."

This week Best Buy is offering 2 for $50 several of Playstation 3 most popular games in 2 for $50 sale. Games include Grand Theft Auto IV, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and several more.

"In the latest issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine, Nolan was asked a question about the two ladies he dated simultaneously in Uncharted 2: “And the most important question of all: If you had to choose, who do you prefer, Chloe or Elena?”

“If I have to pick? Well, I think I like Elena with some Chloe on the side,” he said. “If I’m settling down, Elena. I can trust her. If I’m going to keep gallivanting around the world with Sully, I’d like to sail into a port and meet Chloe for dinn..."

"This generation has seen its fair share of epic titles, captivating narratives and intense action -- but not very many iconic, unique, or influential game characters in comparison to previous generations. Luckily though, there are a few of these figures in the current generation."

"Nothing is certain in today’s game industry. But the closest you’ll come to a sure thing is that movies based on video games suck. There are exceptions, sure. But most of the time, gamers end up regretting their ticket purchase after watching their favorite game get some off the wall adaption on the silver screen that fails to encompass any of the elements that made the game so good. So to save the movie industry some time, we’ve compiled a list of the top 5 games that need to get big screen ..."

"Nolan North is everywhere. You probably wouldn't recognize him in public. But if you've played an action game within the last decade -- say, Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, or even Halo -- chances are you've heard his voice. A lot.

How do you go from daytime soap operas to blockbuster video games? Nolan North, who's lent his voice to numerous notable characters like Uncharted's Nathan Drake, tells us his story of how he became such a prominent name in the world of voice acting."

Over the past decade, Sony has been quite active at creating new franchises for their Playstation platforms. Their stable of new intellectual properties are diverse and, more importantly, top notch in quality.

"The last decade was an absolutely amazing one, at least where videogames were concerned. The new technologies of the past two console generations have enabled the medium to soar to incredible new heights, introducing entirely new types of experiences and – perhaps more notably – delivering the sexy better than ever before. The decade from 2000 to 2009 brought us increasingly realistic (or at least convincingly idealized) heroines and heroes that not only looked hot when rendered in 3D, but al..."

What better way to establish a console or game company then through its mascot. Sure not everything needs a mascot but where would Nintendo with out its beloved Mario or Sega all those years ago without Sonic. This may lead one to believe that its absolutely crucial to have a mascot for its success. Sony has tried to find the foundation for one to call their own but have they fail or succeeded?

Naughty Dog's Uncharted series is arguably one of the key IPs on the PS3. But marketing the first game wasn't easy, according to Creative Director Amy Hennig, who spoke to IndustryGamers recently for an in-depth interview on the game making process for Uncharted 2, working on the PS3, and more. Go to the source for the full interview.

Nathan Drake's voice actor, Nolan North, has expressed interest in playing the role of Nathan Drake in a possible Uncharted movie, but if that doesn't happen, then he wouldn't mind seeing Hugh Jackman play the role. Apparently the producers wouldn't mind it either...

"Speaking on the latest Official PlayStation podcast, North was asked if he was going to audition for the movie, to which he replied: “Actually I just spoke with Ari Arad… Yeah, I want to do the movie. I mean I would love to do it as Nathan Drake and if I keep getting such recognition as bringing this character to life like no one else can, I would love to play myself. But I’ve been in this business for long time now and I’ve done film, I’ve done television and I understand the realities of th..."

Just recently, it was announced that Uncharted is getting its own animated comic book which will be available on PSN. This comic is set to hit the store in tomorrows update. But you can check out this special sneak peak, that won't be available in the final video, from IGN.

This special animated comic book shows the adventure of Nathan Drake before the events of Uncharted 1. Drake teams up with some very bad thieves in hopes to raise enough money to look for Sir Francis Drakes coffin.

"To celebrate the release of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves the PlayStation Blog held a live chat today with two developers from Naughty Dog. Among general questions about the game and praise from gamers about how awesome it is one interesting tidbit was dropped.

The world of Uncharted will be making the jump to comics, more particularly it'll join the growing trend of Motion Comics."

"Remember the first time you played God of War (you did play it, right?) and, with the evil hydra finally at your mercy and an on-screen prompt, you pressed some buttons and totally kicked that sea creature's ass?

Yeah, it was pretty great when God of War did that and you hadn't played a Quick Time Event (QTE) since Shenmue. When David Jaffe's violent love-child re-popularized QTEs, at least the game did them right. See, a Quick Time Event's purpose is to allow for a moment of more cinemat..."

When Uncharted: Drakes Fortune released on the Playstation 3, it was praised as one of the best looking console games. It was almost mind boggeling to think that Naughty Dog could surpass these graphics when they announced Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Now, years later, Uncharted 2 is weeks away from release. With reviews pouring in, Uncharted 2 looks like it has surpassed Uncharted: Drakes Fortune in almost every way. And one of those is in the graphics compartment.

While its no doubt that...

Sure, most game-to-movie adaptations tend to suck, but every now and then there is a real gem. And wouldn't it be nice if some amazing games got amazing movie adaptations? Here are Kokugamer's Top 10 Games That Need Movie Treatment.

Sony has just announced Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Socom U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation are now apart of the PS3 Greatest Hits lineup -- where all good games dream of going.

Congratulations to Naughty Dog and Slant Six Games; you can grab the new titles for $30 everywhere (in America). Note this version of Confrontation does not include the headset.

Uncharted 2 has one of the most magnificent graphic engines to date, closing in on real life and far surpassing Drake's Fortune, as illustrated in the comparisons at the source.

As of August 16th, Uncharted will be part of the Greatest Hits program. The game will retail for $29.99, and it is at a great price for those who want to experience the game before the sequel comes out next year.

Anyone that plays games knows that receiving demos via Xbox live or PSN is never a bad thing. Consumers play the game then go out and buy it right?, but what if playing that demo that someone was excited about changed their feeling about the game in a negative way. At this point was the demo a good idea to even release knowing they just lost a sale? Here are a few reasons why demo's can either help or hurt game releases.

"There is one game worse [in a particular aspect] than any I can imagine though; heralded as a diamond in the next generation rough, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune has a conclusion as discordant from the rest of the game as The Crystal Skull."

Rumors have been floating around that Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake Fortune will be made into a movie, possibly in conjunction with Columbia Pictures. This has just been confirmed via Playstation.Blog by the co-president of Naughty Dog, and what's more has details on the production cast. Considering the film's cinematic nature and movie-easy plot this could turn into a real success if done right.

Uncharted Drakes Fortune might be making its way to the big screen. A lot of people go behind making a movie, but I think what we will be seeing are the actors. So who will be the perfect actor for Nathane, Ellen and Sullivan? Read on to find out who, and who do you think will play a better role?

You can discuss the movie here

"God of War II has a hidden message that appears in the sky when you trigger a secret orb stash, echoing the words of Robert Oppenheimer, the 'father of the nuclear bomb'. When Oppenheimer saw the world's first nuclear test in 1945, he said: "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds" based on verse 32 from Chapter 11 of the Bhagavad Gita, a sacred Hindu script. And there it is, written slowly in the sky above Kratos – perhaps because of all the power you just absorbed. Eerie, huh? By the..."

"But then when you start digging into the depth of the gameplay, I think that's where it really stands apart from Uncharted: Drake's Fortune -- the fact that we've got this action/stealth element, the fact that you can approach the combat encounters in many, many ways but very distinct ways through either a stealthful approach or an aggressive approach... it really gives the whole combat a different dynamic. I think that a lot of people really wanted to have that in the first game, and it was ..."

"Uncharted 2 is going to drop Nathan into a quest to find Marco Polo's fortune. See, after spending about 20 years in the court of Kublai Khan, Marco Polo headed home with 14 ships, more than 600 people, and more treasure than you could shake a stick at. When Polo docked 18 months later, he had one ship and 18 passengers. The explorer, who many accused of telling ridiculous stories, would never speak of what happened during his journey. When Marco Polo was on his deathbed, his relatives begged..."

"How many times have you been playing a video game and thought, "Geez, that character looks like so-and-so..." Well if you're like me, that happens a lot. I thought it would be a fun diversion to create a blog that highlights some of my favorite video game characters and their real-life doppelgangers. Some are obscure...some not so much. feel free to add to the list in the comments if I didn't include a pair you know. One rule though: if a video game character was modeled after a real person (..."

OXCGN writer looks at the future of graphic between the top two heavy-hitters, the PS3 and the Xbox 360.

The former coming into its stride in 2009 will no doubt push Xbox 360 to doing more tweaks in that area, but he asks the question, will it really matter ? Isn't "gameplay" the thing "gamers" look for ?!

Makes for some interesting reading and discussion. So slip on over and check it out.

"More often than not, solid gameplay will do wonders when it comes to hooking players into a game. I look to games like Katamari Damacy and Burnout Paradise, and I see excellent examples of a refined single play mechanic. But there’s one thing that games like those lack that I typically love: a compelling narrative.

When I think of the titles that I’ve finished in the last few years--titles that I’ve actually played through to the closing credits--there’s one through line that distinguishes..."

It was hinted at before, and it seems that it has now been confirmed by none other than the man behind the Marvel Movie Magic - Avi Arad. Talking about moving his success from Marvel to Games, Arad talks about moving the highly successful PS3 game to the silver screen.

In the latest UK official PlayStation Magazine, some very juicy rumors were released. They mention a Assassin's Creed movie might be in the making, as well as a Cloverfield video game. There might also be a sequel to The Darkness, which was shot down by the developers earlier, but there are speculations that they are just buying some time. Another rumor is a new game called Spyborgs from Capcom. The last rumor is about the sequel to the PS3 exclusive video game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. The...

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was released a little while ago, but there was an issue that has now been brought up. Apparently, there used to be a feature in the game that allowed you to shoot fish and even had death animations for them, but was removed since it was a threat for moving a 'teen' rated game to 'mature' according to ESRB. Just to make it clear, you can shoot humans in the game, so it must be a worse crime to shoot innocent fish.

Recently ThreeSpeech asked their members what questions they wanted to ask Evan Wells at Naughty Dog. Now they have selected the best ones and put them to the man in this exclusive interview. There is some interesting stuff in there, but by far the highlight is his discussion of Naughty Dog's next project, he mentions that the next game might not be Uncharted and that a new Jak is definitely a possibility. This is just half the interview though, the rest will be posted tomorrow

A lot of people point out the similarities between Tomb Raider and Uncharted and there is about to be another trait they share. A secret source close to the deal has informed Joystiq that Atlas Entertainment wants to turn the popular PS3 videogame into a film. While this should be treated as a rumour at best Joystiq have already begun examining who could possibly be penned as the role for Nathan Drake, and guess who they arrived at? Nathan Fillion.

Uncharted, one of the best games of 2007 for the PS3 is just crying for a sequel and it appears a Easter egg (or a egg of some kind) has possibly revealed what the discoverer believes is the location for the second game. The secret treasure found in the game bares a startling resemblance to the precursor orbs in the Jak and Daxter games (Naughty Dog's previous franchise) and when translated reads "Naughty Dog Manmad"

A Google search brings up manmad as a city in India. Coincidence?

Uncharted takes it a step further. There will be "Homes" that are designed as the levels that are found in uncharted. Le...

The whole Tomb Raider franchise and the new PS3 game Uncharted : Drake's Fortune seem to have certain similarities. And as a result, some gamers tend to think that in trying to out do Uncharted, TR : Underworld may lose its puzzle/adventure quality and become another game focused on action like Uncharted.
But the senior brand manager of Tomb Raider says that they’re not feeling like they’re under pressure to out-do Uncharted and that the upcoming Tomb Raider: Underworld “will be very differe...

"The PlayStation 3 is a complex yet powerful system. We could not pull off the rich, seamless world of Uncharted on any other console. Because the system is so powerful, it means that tapping into that power requires great engineering efforts. We’re lucky that Naughty Dog has some of the best programmers in the industry. I can also tell you that as we’re finishing Uncharted, we’ve found new ways of optimizing our engine to take advantage of the hardware. All of which means that, as beautiful a..."

"Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has this week rolled the covers off what appears (at first glance) to be a rather tempting ‘Pick N Mix’ retail deal that will see UK consumers able to snaffle the PlayStation 3 and two games for a total price of £349.99 GBP. Image credit: MNgilen."

"Several prominent industry figures have recently been quoted in a Games Radar report as claiming that after a year of the PS3’s life cycle videogame developers are finally growing more accustomed to channelling the considerable capabilities hidden beneath its ominously rumbling hood."

Kotaku.com recently held a "Reader's Choice Awards" in which regulars of the site could vote for their favorite game of 2007 from each console.

And while not everyone was happy with how the awards were conducted, the results were still tallied and winners were still announced.

Read below to find out who won. You might be pleasantly surprised (but then again, if you've been keeping track of the popular games of 2007, you probably won't be).

"Did you hear the news? Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare won Game of the Year on PS3 Fanboy. (Uncharted: Drake's Fortune won the reader's vote.) So, what did other major media outlets pick as their PS3 GOTY? We searched the web and found out.
GameDaily chose Call of Duty 4. "The campaign excels where most of its competition fails, delivering a nail-biting experience we couldn't walk away from until the explosive finale."
GameTrailers chose Call of Duty 4. "The authenticity on display here is t..."

"I was looking at the weekly "US" sales charts over at www.VGChartz.com when something completely dawned on me. Where in the hell was Uncharted: Drakes Fortune on the top 50? After all, the game has been acclaimed by many in the gaming community and was also on many lists around the net for Playstation 3 Game of the Year 2007. Uncharted: Drakes Fortune was nowhere to be found.

So seeing that made me think about a question for all of you, one that needs to be asked to the average gamer out ..."

According to a report in the Village Voice, today's videogames are reliant on software of years gone by, even the likes of ambitious and inventice offerings such as Mass Effect and Super Mario Galaxy.

Welcome to this week's Media Create numbers, where we see the holiday fervor in full swing with increased numbers across the board (with exception). The combined strength of new releases and continued strong sales of recently released games both contribute to the numbers this week.

The top software seller this week is our favorite Wii non-game, Wii Fit, pushing very nearly 150k units. Following it in the #2 position is Mario Party DS, selling 107k units. Rounding out the top five are Ta...

When talking to Naughty Dog's co-president Evan Wells, he talked about how Uncharted has been designed to become a first title in a franchise so more title will be in the works soon. As for Heavenly Sword though it has been reported by Eurogamer that when talking to a a Ninja Theory spokesperson he repeatedly referred to Heavenly Sword as "Heavenly Sword ...

"Developer Naughty Dog has designed Uncharted to be a gaming equivalent to the great pulp adventure stories of eras past. Think Indiana Jones meets Tomb Raider and you'd be on the right track. As such, the lead character Nathan Drake is something of a loveable rogue; a treasure hunter who's used to operating on the fringes of society and looking out for number one. He's a character everyone is familiar with – charming and funny, the sort of guy who's probably talked his way out of more scrapes..."

"Nintendo, which has been historically criticised for not providing enough software for its platforms, emerges as the clear winner this week – at least in terms of quantity.

Also, a quintet of Wii releases are available through Friday, which includes the towering arrival of Godzilla Unleashed and Myth Makers: Super Kart GP."

Last week, I got off easy; I got away with only putting four of that pretty large list of notables in the title. With the games releasing this week, it looks like that's not possible. This is how you know it's the holidays.

That said, there are plenty of good games that came out last week, coming out this week, and will come out in the upcoming weeks. Console allegiances be damned; we're all gamers, and let's enjoy all these games. Defense Forces need not apply. Support good games!

"It's been a rough year for PlayStation 3 owners. Exclusives have been lost, a handful of titles have been bumped from the bottom line-bolstering holiday season, and Lair was Lair. With each disappointment, more and more fans have looked to Uncharted: Drake's Fortune -- a title whose screenshots have been lauded for months -- to be the saving grace of Sony's 2007.

But pinning so much on one title pretty much guarantees a letdown, doesn't it? Can Naughty Dog live up to more than a year of mo..."

"Sony Europe has confirmed that a playable demo of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, released on the US PSN Store yesterday, will hit UK PS3s on November 22.

European PS3 owners have been disappointed to discover that the US demo of the Naughty Dog's much-anticipated jungle adventure is region locked, meaning those with US PSN accounts on their UK PS3s are unable to play. While Sony's US network regularly gets content ahead of its European equivalents, the company's open attitude to region coding..."

"It’s not often that we can jump up for joy and say that we were right about something, but today, Amy Henning has confirmed our initial report regarding the Uncharted Demo on the Official Playstation blog. If you remember our previous story from last week, we unearthed a statement from Evan Wells, the co-president of Naughty Dog, stating that the demo for their upcoming game will probably hit PSN twelve days before the release of the game. We stood behind that report, stating…

A member from Neogaf has compiled a group of images from Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. The images are taken from the target render from 2006 and from the latest screens in 2007. As you can see Naughty Dog has done a amazing job in making the game look better then the target render.

More than a handful of new screens from Naughty Dog's action-adventure title were released during Tokyo Game Show in Japan. This is among PS3's most anticipated titles right now.

Given that the Playstation 3 currently doesn't have as many games available as the other consoles, it still does hold a fair bit of games. But are people making the most of the Playstation 3's capabilities? Well it seems that out of the many games that have been released only around 16 games so far are using the Playstation 3's SPE.

Whilst there may be more, the 16 games that are listed below have pretty much been confirmed to be using the PS3's SPE:

  1. Resistance: Fall of Man

"The Playstation 3 exclusive Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune focuses on a descendant of the historical explorer and sailor, Francis Drake. When Nathan Drake finds out that his ancestor faked his own death, he begins searching for the fabled treasure of El Dorado. On his quest he discovers a previously unknown island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

The storyline looks to be a relatively strong part of the game. Although the use of a historical figure may irritate those of us nerdy enough to c..."

""We specifically didn't want [Uncharted: Drake's Fortune] to be a launch title," developer Naughty Dog, the creator of Jak & Daxter, has unsurprisingly revealed. Uncharted's ambitious visuals and animation tap into PS3's power to a degree that probably would not have been possible had it been crammed into PS3's launch day line-up.

"We wanted time to really understand the hardware," explains Evan Wells, co-president at Naughty Dog. This understanding has been heavily assisted by the close r..."

"Let’s talk story. The Drake in the title refers to a Sir Francis Drake whom history buffs and insomniac purveyors of the History Channel will know as the celebrated 16th century Englishman who sailed around the globe pissing off Spaniards… among other things. Like most people from that era, he is dead now, and it is in his coffin that modern day fortune hunter Nathan Drake (is he/is he not a relative?) – or you - discovers a clue to the whereabouts of the fabled treasure of El Dorado. Turns o..."

An intriguing interview with Richard Diamant, who is the Lead Character Artist of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (a PS3 game currently in development). He works for Naughty Dog, Inc, which, in case you didn't know, is famous for their popular series of games - Crash Bandicoot - as well as Jak & Daxter. Also make sure to check out the samples of this guy's work.

1) The motion-sensing capabilities of PS3's Sixaxis pad will also be called into action during precariously balanced moments
2)Drake's exploration of the island will be vehicle-based - so far an army jeep (complete with machine gun turret) and a jet ski are thought to feature.
3)the island will - Naughty Dog has assured - offer a variety of terrains and settings.
