When David O. Russell left the director's chair for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (the movie adaptation of the incredibly popular videogame) fans all over the world rejoiced! Then came all of the speculation about who would take over, and how much longer it would take for this film to get off the ground. Well, Sony has announced that they've chosen a new writer and director for the movie.

Three of the console's biggest franchises, Resistance, Uncharted, and Ratchet & Clank, are now getting their very own box sets."
After the recent screenshot leak of the NGP Uncharted title, little else was known. But just a moment ago, the game has been officially announced under the title: Uncharted Golden Abyss.
Acclaimed director David O. Russell (The Fighter, Three Kings, Flirting With Disaster) is no longer attached to the Uncharted film adaptation. That'll probably make a lot of gamers happy, as his ideas for the film were controversial.
This morning Sony announced the successor to their PSP, codenamed NGP. The system specs look really good on paper, but how will this system really stack up against its competition the 3DS?
An interview with the developers of the Uncharted games, some very big news slips out about the movie. The developers deny the news about their being a 'family dynamic' in the film and tell fans that Mark Wahlberg is NOT attached to play the lead role. News like this is giving so far disgruntled fans hope for this film after all.

Many fans were angered about Nathan Fillion not being cast as Nate Drake in David O. Russell's Uncharted movie, but one fan has gone so far as to actually confront the director face-to-face about it.
While rumors and unconfirmed information has been swirling the internet since the announcement of a big-screen adaption of Uncharted, it's finally confirmed that acclaimed film-maker David O. Russel will healm the project.
Nathan Fillion desperately wants the lead in the 'Uncharted: Drake's Fortune' big screen adaptation and is using his devoted fan base to create an Internet stir with the help of Twitter.

Sony has just announced Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Socom U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation are now apart of the PS3 Greatest Hits lineup -- where all good games dream of going.
Congratulations to Naughty Dog and Slant Six Games; you can grab the new titles for $30 everywhere (in America). Note this version of Confrontation does not include the headset.
As of August 16th, Uncharted will be part of the Greatest Hits program. The game will retail for $29.99, and it is at a great price for those who want to experience the game before the sequel comes out next year.
Rumors have been floating around that Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake Fortune will be made into a movie, possibly in conjunction with Columbia Pictures. It was hinted at before, and it seems that it has now been confirmed by none other than the man behind the Marvel Movie Magic - Avi Arad. Talking about moving his success from Marvel to Games, Arad talks about moving the highly successful PS3 game to the silver screen.
Today Sony has announced their new bundle. A Ps3 with a 160GB hardrive that comes with two free games, Uncharted, and the PSN game, Pain and a Duelshock 3 controller. This Harddrive size may be will need with the rise of great PSN games and all the movies and tv shows that you just want to save on your ps3. It will hit store shelves in November at the price of $499.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was released a little while ago, but there was an issue that has now been brought up. Apparently, there used to be a feature in the game that allowed you to shoot fish and even had death animations for them, but was removed since it was a threat for moving a 'teen' rated game to 'mature' according to ESRB. Just to make it clear, you can shoot humans in the game, so it must be a worse crime to shoot innocent fish.

Last week, I got off easy; I got away with only putting four of that pretty large list of notables in the title. With the games releasing this week, it looks like that's not possible. This is how you know it's the holidays.

Naughty Dogs president Evan Wells told playstation.blog that Uncharted is nearly done which should be very good news for people who could not wait since the original video was shown awhile back. This will also mean that the game won't be delayed, another up for PS3 fans that have seen a lot of delays. Even better, He made a comment saying that the game will run at 1080i and that there will be a demo.
