The gaming world sure is generous. This is yet another way to help out the crisis from the earthquake that hit Japan while getting some gaming goodies. Check out the list of Sega goodies that you want that goes 100% straight to Red Cross.
"Valkyria Chronicles 2 was developed with the Japanese market in mind. Yes that’s right American and European gamers, there’s actually a market outside of your countries. Crazy huh? So just like Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest IX, moving a franchise onto a portable system with ad-hoc local multiplayer means that most players can get a sociable experience in Japan. Consumers are more likely to spend over 50 hours on a game if they can take it with them rather than having to set aside a block of..."

"Edy and her squad challenges you to six missions in this Valkyria Chronicles downloadable content pack.
Each mission focuses on a specific class. You’ll have to show Edy how well you can control a scout, shocktrooper, sniper, lancer, engineer, and tank. Players will be able to use Edy’s detachment and members of Squad 7 for these missions.
While Valkyria Chronicles is over a year old, these missions are relatively new. Japan got them in June, over a year after the game came out there. N..."

"Valkyria Chronicles is set in a fictitious continent reminiscent of 1930’s Europe. Divided in two and ruled by the Empire and the Federation, the Empire has set its sights on invading a small neutral country called Gallia, which is situated in the middle of the two great empires. The game follows a hero named Welkin and his fellow soldiers of Gallian civilian militia’s 7th Platoon who are fighting against the Empire. The Empire is intent on unifying the continent under its power, but Gallia d..."

Valkyria Chronicles is a diplomatic sort of game, it seems. At least, that's what's to come when some DLC for the game arrives in Japan this October. The content will allow gamers to control Selvaria Bles (pictured right) and invade Gallia, the small nation you defend in the main storyline, effectively giving you control of the evil empire. Not often this sort of thing happens in a game, so soak it up, lovelies.
