The games you know from the article you'd be more than familiar with the skills they possess and really wish you had those skills. Definitely some skills there that would be fantastic to possess.

"Basically, Russia attacks San Francisco with powerful advanced technologies, and now it's up to Sam Gideon's badass new ARS suit and some American soldiers to take Russia down before it's too late - whether that refers to America's unconditional surrender or the takeover/destruction of Ameirca, that's up to both sides."

"Although one and a half members are missing for this cast, it still goes pretty well while we talk about Little Big Planet 2, Enslaved, Vanquish, Gran Turismo 5, Mafia 2, Resonance of Fate, Gal Gun, and Eve Online.

As always we cover the week in gaming news, then chat about movies including The Fighter, Tron, and Harry Potter and the Long Movie Title Part One."

"Vanquish was pretty much non-stop action, with breaks only emerging so that a character could throw some gruff cheesy banter about and remind the player how much of a testosterone fuelled alpha male they were. It is the 80’s action movie of video games, realising that script and story don’t really matter as long as the audience comes out saying “My god that crap was awesome”. Vanquish embraced this attitude with aplomb, allowing the player to shoot and destroy all manners of highly powered ro..."

Thank god there's no Zombies in this one . . but there's flying suits of a fashion. Which most sci-fi games now have as mandatory issue for their protagonist.

Looks like a great game nevertheless, but it's a shame that it never got the publicity that many of the other AAA titles did, as it has some excellent game mechanics and could come close to showing many of the other major titles a thing or two.

Anyhow, slip over and have a read, nice long detailed review as always, and some great ...

"Like Bayonetta and MadWorld before it, Vanquish weaves an experience so wickedly over-the-top that if Michael Bay, John Woo, and Robert Rodriguez were melted down and rebuilt as a single sentient being, their collective minds would still be blown before the opening credits had even finished rolling. Well, perhaps not by the opening sequence as Vanquish’s story and cinematics are surprisingly dull. They border between comic book-esque absurdity and the most boring and cliched exposition on par..."

"Vanquish is a pure action blockbuster that takes a standard formula and injects a ridiculous amount of style with game mechanics that for once never falter or become boring. The journey Vanquish offers may be a short one that isn’t bolstered by any addition content, but the game is paced perfectly, has amazing boss battles and somehow encapsulates the perfect mix of classic arcade style gameplay with modern sensibilities. Vanquish isn’t another clone nor is it a boring and unrealized Japanese..."

"Vanquish. What is it? Well, for starters it’s a brand new IP by Sega, Platinum Games, and Shinji Mikami, creator of the Resident Evil franchise. It’s a fast paced futuristic third person shooter comprised of 29 missions spread across 5 unique chapters. If Vanquish was an adult beverage, it would be made from three parts Metal Gear, two parts Gears of War, a dash of Terminator, and a smidgen of RoboCop. Oh, and it would run you sixty bucks a glass."

"My time with gameplay proved just how fast gameplay is, where there isn’t time to sit back and think and plan. It’s a fight or flight game, on a constant and never-ending basis. Like real war, there’s no time to think once the bullets start flying, though most third-person shooters are all about finding cover than making some sort of plan. No time for that here. You think on your feet, or you die very, very quickly."
