Just watch it in action.
Level 1-1:
The other game up for download today is Puyo Puyo 2: Tsuu for the Sega Genesis/Sega Mega Drive. It is a par...
In continuing the trend of pretty-good games we've been getting the past few weeks, the ball keeps rolling this week when everyone's favorite puffball gets another game on the Virtual Console.
That game is none other than Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards for the Nintendo 64. The game features the option of combining two Copy Abilities into a new one, allowing for up to 35 different combinations. It is also Kirby's first 3D adventure, and the only Kirby game to grace the N64.
The other gam...
In contrast to the fanfare that preceded the unveiling of the 100th VC title, Nintendo's 200th NA VC offering goes without a bang. Although, this week's offerings are no slouch whatsoever. Two great games are headed their way to the VC today, folks.
The first game, and also #200, is none other than the original Harvest Moon for the SNES. It is the game that started the well-loved farming series that still continues to this day.
The other game is also a good game in its own right, the...
Compared to Japan's four, North America this week only gets two games, #198 and #199, respectively, leading us to wonder what we would get next week for #200. #100 was Zelda II.
First game up is Operation Wolf for the NES, a single-player lightgun game port from the arcade. It'll be interesting how this will be implemented, as the arcade version used a positional gun for firing.
The other game is Columns III for the Sega Genesis. This is a gem-matching puzzle game akin to Puzzle Figh...
Yet another two games were added to the North American Virtual Console today, and both aren't the first games of their respective series.
The first game in this batch of two is Adventures of Lolo 2 for the NES. Like it's predecessor, it is a puzzle game, although it seems not much was changed from the first game.
The second game is yet another Street Fighter; Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers. This is the SFII game that introduced Fei Long, T.Hawk, Cammy and Dee Jay as play...
There seems to be a continuing trend with only two games being updated today to the North American Virtual Console. There are two flavors of games today: puzzle and beat-em-up.
The puzzle game today is Pac-Attack, a Pac-Man and Tetris hybrid. You're clearing lines in this game like Tetris, but in order to complete some lines you need a Pac-Man block to clear away Ghost blocks.
The beat-em-up game is the TurboGrafx-16 CD Game Riot Zone. It's a game in the vein of the classic beat-em-u...
Nintendo of America finally rings in the new year by giving the North American Virtual Console it's first update of 2008, adding two new games to the Virtual Console.
The first game in this update is cult favorite Star Tropics. Although a Zelda clone, it has enjoyed status as a cult favorite, and is regarded as a good game. In other words, don't dismiss it because it's a clone.
The other game in today's update is The King of Fighters '94, the first game in the The King of Fighters ser...
Christmas is tomorrow, and Nintendo in its merry self has added three more games to the Virtual Console. This year's Christmas update doesn't really have the bang that last year's Christmas update had (Super Mario Bros., Street Fighter II, Super Castlevania IV, ToeJam & Earl), however. But, there are still some pretty good games in this week's update.
And here we go, the list of games:
Hello folks, it's sci-fi/fantasy week for the North American Virtual Console this week, with three new games added to the VC, having gone live at Noon EST.
The games this week?
As always, these games will go live at Noon EST, 9AM PST. Keep track of the latest VC releases on What's New on VC? in the Wii Virtual Console forum.
This week, we not only get our standard three-game update for the NA Wii Virtual Console, but later today, Nintendo will activate the Gift Feature for the Wii Shop Channel.
Although all three games are noteworthy, the highlight is the Wii-enhanced Pokémon Snap. No motion controls, but rather you can save your in-game pictures to the Wii Message Board and send them to friends. This sets the tone for the possibility of other additions to Virtual Console games.
The Wii Shop Channel Gift ...
As admitted by Nintendo on their press release for this week's North American Virtual Console update today, there is no real theme among thi week's offerings.
As such, this is what we get this week:

Alright, so this week doesn't have one of the greatest games of all time, but it's kinda hard to live up that release week of SMB and the VISUALSHOCK! SPEEDSHOCK! SOUNDSHOCK! that is the awesomeness of Alien Soldier.
What we get this week is Volleyball for the NES (500 Points), AXELAY for the SNES (800 Points), which seems to be pretty good, and Blue's Journey (NeoGeo, 900 Points), which Europe got last week.
As always, these games will go live at Noon EST, 9AM PST. Keep track of the la...
That folks, is the voice of Mario, Charles Martinet, giving us our Wii Virtual Console releases for North America this week.
Touted as one of the greatest games of all time, Super Mario Bros. 3 will be available for download today on the Virtual Console. I, for one, will be downloading as soon as I can. It will have the standard NES pricing of 500 points. The double back-to-back week megaton of SMB3 and Super Mario Galaxy? Yes, please.
However, let's not forget the two games tha...
It's another Monday, and three new games were added to the North American Wii Virtual Console. We get two NES games, one of which an import, and a Genesis game.
First off, we have your futuristic game of pool, Lunar Pool for the NES. Joining it is a game never released outside of Japan, Ninja JaJaMaru-kun for the NES, and beat-em-up Golden Axe III for the Genesis.
