Wanted: Weapons of Fate

Wanted: Weapons of Fate

TheMoviePool takes a look at the volatile history between movies and their video game counterparts in order to bring you the handful of games that actually managed to pull it off.

"While many people are excited about the re-mastered version that will arrive via Xbox Live Arcade, I’m still hoping to see a true sequel that will live up to the lineage of the original Perfect Dark."

"You play through the story mode as two characters the main character Wesley; a young man who is searching for many answers and has many abilities that he is still coming to terms with. You also play through the game as Wesley’s father, Cross; who gives you a good history on all of the characters in the story. The boss battles are interesting, but not that hard even on professional. Once you work out their pattern of movement its pretty straight forward."

"Wanted: Weapons of Fate continues the plot of the 2008 film that I could never get motivated enough to see. I knew the basic premise though, and the game does an adequate job of bringing anyone up to speed that also may have skipped the movie.

This game’s learning curve (for lack of a better term) is gentle. In fact, anyone who has ever played a third person shooter, like Gears of War for example, will master Weapons of Fate very quickly."

Quite a release week, for PC gamers especially. First we get (finally) Dark Sector, initially planned for simultaneous release, then The Last Remnant, Battleforge..life's pretty good. Although we can't recommend you pick up Dark Sector as it contains that horrid Starforce DRM.

There isn't really much exclusive stuff (not a bad thing, really), with PS3, Xbox 360 and PC owners alike receiving Stormrise, Wanted, and Wheelman, with the latter two seeing Legends of Wrestlemania.

DS owners ca...

"Wanted: Weapons of Fate will feature a “multi-layered” cover mechanic, the curving bullet thing from the movie and the ubiquitous bullet-time…aptly re-named to Assassin Time. In addition to the game’s humdrum features, voice talents such as Common, Thomas Kretschmann, Paz Vega, and Terrance Stamp will appear in the game."

Based on the film Wanted (image of film can be found on the right), Wanted: Weapons of Fate allows gamers to get into the shoes of the hero Wesley Gibson who must go toe-to-toe with the sophisticated but deadly French chapter of "the Fraternity".

To get the ball rolling, Warner Bros. have released 10 new screenshots which can be found below and at the source.
