Dylan Jobe, the president of LightBox Interactive, says that his team is planning something special for diehard Warhawk players in the upcoming Starhawk.
We have just created a new section for the site called "AAG's Developer Profiles". Each fortnight we will pick a developer to profile so that our readers can get an insight into the developers that make the games we know and love. Our first developer profile is on the great SCE Santa Monica Studio. Enjoy.
"In years past, NeoGAF has done their favorite moments in gaming, using only MS Paint to show you. Looking back at 2008 brings us some of the coolest moments, great memories that can look amusing to just plain epic, even when in Paint. I purposely left out the names of the games as half the fun is guessing (but if you cant figure it out, right click and hit properties to see the file name where I put the game)."
Warhawk is still one of the PS3's most popular shooters despite its age, and the loyal players who have stuck with the game are going to get some treats. If look at some of the Trophies listed for the game's patch so far you can find some very big hints. Including mentions of the new map pack as well as the title suggests a Jetpack. This is not confirmed however and the picture whether intentionally or not looks fake.
Reports from SCEE claim that the Warhawk trophies will be arriving to the Playstation 3 (via a 1.5 patch download) on August 27th. There is said that there will be over 50 different trophies that you can get though it will depend on how many extension packs you have already downloaded into the game. The Platinum Trophy is however still said to be available to get with out any of the packs according to Dylan Jobe.
With the re-release of Warhawk as a Greatest Hits title Producer Harvard Bonin just posted a video on the Playstation Blog created by Brady Games. The video gives tips to newcomers to the game.
If you're new to Warhawk or maybe if you've played it before but gave up because of the steep learning curve then have a look at the video. It is very helpful.

A year has past since the release of Warhawk and now we finally get some new modes. Even I was getting sick of the same 'ol modes.
Developer Dylan Jobe just posted on the Playstation Blog explaining all the new features that are being added to Warhawk in 48 hours time.
The list of new stuff is quite huge but here are some of the best.
These 2 spanking new modes look quite promising.

Now that we have Trophy Support gamers are itching to get their hands on Trophy support for all their favorite games.
Warhawk developer Dylan Jobe stepped out of the shade last night and announced details for Warhawk Trophies.
The question on everyones lips is when will we be getting it. Well unfortunatly a solid release date has not been announced. Although Dylan did say that it won't be in the next patch (1.4). Instead Trophies will be added in 1.5 soon after.
As for the Trophies the...
"-By popular demand, playlists which include the largest layouts now include only the largest layouts. They will no longer occasionally rotate into medium layouts.
-By popular demand, respawn times have been set to 3 seconds.
-By popular demand, Broken Mirror servers now offer dedicated CTF and ZNS games in place of the mixed playlists.
-Dogfight servers were added back to the list. They were inadvertently omitted before.
-All games time limits were reduced to 15 minutes, and ZNS score li..."
Warhawk's developers may have gone quiet recently but recent announcements made by game director Dylan Jobe show there still kicking. A Warhawk tournament is underway with cool prizes (see images below), a new update is on the way which is suggested to include support for more servers and larger map layouts. But the most interesting piece of news comes in the form of a clue left by Dylan Jobe pointing towards further upgrades to Warhawk. The image (posted to the left) has already had huge amo...
"Most of our readers and Warhawk aficionados know that we recently held a contest for players in the US to submit their own insignias and aircraft paint schemes. The response was fantastic and we received a ton of entries. Thus why it has taken us so damn long to review them all, then pick the winners, contact them, and secure all the paper work required by our lawyers.
Welp⦠the winners are now selected and integrated with the upcoming Warhawk v1.3 update!
Before we reveal the new des..."
An interview with Sony's John Hight revealed new information about the Playstation Store, Warhawk, and much more. It has now been confirmed that the Playstation Store will get a redesign in April. He has also stated that the new Warhawk expansion (Broken Mirror) should be out by April of this year!
Another thing he was asked about was why the Japanese store seems to have more content (Specifically PS1 games) than the US Store, to which he replied that the US will be getting it soon.

Warhawk is one of the PS3's top online titles and by the look of this article it's going to stay this way. IGN being the lucky bastards they are managed to weasel their way into a game or two including the content of both the 1.3 update and booster Pack Broken Mirror and everything seems to looking good so far. Broken Mirror in particular looks to be loads of fun with the new vehicle the 'APC' being a blast to use
You love Warhawk? Well here is some news which is going to make your day. Dylan Jobe the creator of the game has just revealed some vital details on what the v1.3 update offers. In short it adds two new weapons on Warhawks already impressive arsenal, adds new VOIP options and paint jobs and most importantly Home integration! This could well be a indicator that Home is much closer to release than we suspect. Could Home be on everyone's PS3 by March? Only time will tell. Oh and it also includes...
"Not to be outdone by its rivals, Sony has bolstered its online store with a pretty decent smattering of new content. Leading the way in this latest update is PSone classic Warhawk, which will set fans back a modest $5.99 USD, while free playable demos of Snakeball and BlackSite: Area 51 are also available for those looking to take titles for a test run."
As some may Remember, Warhawk was originally a classic PS1 game. Recently, Warhawk for PSP and PS3 has appeared on the ESRB website with an E rating. Could this mean that Sony is going to release a downloadable version of Warhawk over the Playstation Network? It wouldn't be too surprising, considering the success of the Playstation 3 version of the game.
Warhwak has really taken off despite some bugs and glitches in the system and now its getting even better with the release of the v1.1 patch. This patch includes the following updates.
Server-side updates
Client-side updates for Pa...
"Youll finally be adding PSN name after PSN name to your barebones friends list as if it were an Xbox Live account. Warhawk brings social networking to the PS3 with 32 players interacting and teams communicating via wireless headsets, a combination that screams multiplayer 2.0."
"Its all been a bit quiet on the PlayStation 3 front for Sony this year, with major attention getter Metal Gear Solid 4 being pushed back into 2008, Home apparently not yet ready, and Little Big Planet also tantalisingly just out of reach.
However, that doesnt mean the Japanese electronics giant is lacking for oomph titles between now and when the above titans do finally arrive
and Warhawk is believed to be one of them. So jump in your virtual cockpit, power up your review engines and ..."
The hype and hyperbole for BioShock continues its ebb and flow across the industry - and critical feedback sure says that 2K Games' latest offering is a bona fide stunned. But what's on offer this week? Well, if you're in the US, then Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is the cream of the crop, while the likes of Blue Dragon, Warhawk, and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 are following close behind.
According to an article at Three Speech, everyone waiting to get their grubby little mits on Warhawk is going to have to wait another few days. The original release on the PSN for download was August 28th. Now it's been pushed back until August 30th.
Not a bad deal if you ask me, considering you'll still get it almost a month before it's on the shelves thanks to the Playstation Network.
The European PSN Store has been updated with a number of new additions. The exclusive Folklore playable demo is now available to download, but for a limited time only. The update also includes a number of trailers from the Games Convention in Leipzig.
According to a scan of the Playstation Magazine, Warhawk never achieved full flight, getting a low 6.5 out of 10. You can probably read part of the review to get in on a little information, but if you trust PSM, then your best bet is to save your money or rent.
"Some confirmed/almost confirmed release dates for you
Warhawk Theyre aiming for for August 28 on the PSN, at what we think is a very decent price of آ£19.99. The retail version, bundled with a Jabra bluetooth headset, is due September 21 at آ£39.99."
"Hi Everyone Its been a while since Ive made a post, but since some of you guys posted comments wanting me to jump back on, *and* the very interesting pricing debate/discussion that has been going on recently, well

First off, has Warhawk gone gold??
Hells Ya! The PSN and Blu-ray versions have gone GOLD, completely finished and will go on sale August 28th

"Those who are involved in the Warhawk beta probably don't want it to end, but unfortunately, it must end at some point. However, if you've been following the timetable, you'd know the beta was scheduled to end yesterday...and yet, if you log in today, you can still partake of the fast-paced online action. Why?
Simple. The beta testing originally slated to end yesterday, June 25, has been extended an extra week through Monday, July 2. So you get another week to rack up the kills in both mid..."
