Watchmen: The End Is Nigh

Watchmen: The End Is Nigh

The Xbox Live Deal of the Week offers 50% off for three different games related to movie this week. Transformers, Prince of Persia, and the Watchmen are all represented this week.

All Age Gaming's John Elliot takes a look the popular Xbox Live Arcade Game, Wathmen: The End Is Nigh and informs us whether it is worth getting or not.

"Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have disclosed the full Achievement and Trophy lists for the recently released Watchmen: The End Is Nigh retail disc. Available now, the retail release contains both Parts 1 & 2 of the videogame adaptation of The Watchmen, previously only available via digital distribution."

At long last, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 sees re-release this week on Xbox LIVE Arcade -- get your fight sticks ready, boys and girls.

Aside from that, Capcom delivers more with the ad-ridden Bionic Commando on PC, the very unique and atmospheric adventure Memento Mori (means "Remember you shall die"), SNK and Ignition brings us the twelfth iteration in the King of Fighters series, and Nintendo brings us some sports...thing (hey, I never said these lists weren't biased).

Until next time!

This week is terrible!

Aside from Little King's Story (for which Neoseeker has an interview and preview) and those down with the Rock Band Country Track Pack, there are just two other titles, one we dare not mention by name, and the other which isn't really that great (The Watchmen), if reviews are to be believed.

See you next week!

In a case of the PS3 getting one up on the XBOX, Watchmen, the popular graphic novel turned feature film and game, is coming to the PS3 in a package deal sure to please fans and non-fans alike.

Parts 1 and 2 of Watchmen: The End is Nigh and the feature film are set to be released in a 2 disc special edition set for PS3 users. XBOX fans unfortunately miss out on the deal. They can however still purchase the game, along with the film, in it's parts.

OXCGN takes a look at the future of Downloable Content and how it might or will affect game delivery in the future.

As much as some dislike it, it will be something that will occure as some stage, or another. If we are to get games cheaper, then we do have to look at an alternative to the physical distribution of game media.

But is total DLC the way to go, or, will it need to be like the print media, where they offer both, but with one carrying a premium price tag to cover its costs . .?

"Watchmen: The End is Nigh is released for the Xbox 360 and PCs today, with the PlayStation 3 version arriving tomorrow.

Warner Bros' Watchmen is set to hit theatres this Friday, but the video game will be available for download from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, PlayStation Network and PC services (including Steam) today."

"Developed by Deadline Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Watchmen: The End is Nigh will feature the voices of Patrick Wilson as Nite Owl, a refined fighter well-versed in martial arts and cutting-edge gadgetry, and Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach, a feral, streetwise fighter who can disarm enemies and use their own weapons against them"

Joystiq has posted its first impressions of the Watchmen game along with a bunch of screenshots. While they look impressive and show promise, it's disappointing to know the combat is very primitive and play length is extremely short. Nevertheless, there are some very high points they say should make Watchmen fans want to keep their eyes on this one.

New screenshots for upcoming game based on the Watchmen entitled Watchmen: The End is Nigh show Rorschach and Nite Owl in their HD glory featured in this action brawler.

It's not just Uncharted 2 debuting at the Spike 2008 Video Game Awards.

Add to that God of War 3, Watchmen; The End is Nigh, Brutal Legend, Mafia II, Terminator Salvation, New Gears of War 2 content, Fight Night Round 4 and 3 yet to be announced games and you've got a better picture of the event !

LIVE on Sunday, December 14th at 9pm.

We don't know much about the Watchmen game but unlike some films-turned-games, people seem to actually give a crap about it. Important people, like Zack Snyder, director of the upcoming Watchmen film, and Dave Gibbons, illustrator of the original graphic novel.
