"As usual, three ‘new’ titles were released over the Virtual Console today, each from different systems.

For the NES, we receive The Adventures of Lolo. This game was released in 1989 by HAL Laboratory, Inc. (most known for the Super Smash Bros. series and Kirby). The Adventures of Lolo is a puzzle game based on the Japanese series, Eggerland. The game supports only 1 Player and costs 500 Points.

Fun Fact: The current president of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, used to be the president of HAL.

"You may be scratching your head wondering how ads for future consoles are in a Nintendo 64 game. Did Nintendo predict the future? Nah, it's a graphic swap. The original version had ads for Kawasaki, but since Nintendo doesn’t have the license anymore they had to alter the game.

As you can see they replaced the banners with ads for the Wii and the Nintendo DS Lite. While this is a minor change it shows Nintendo is capable of altering the rom data for the virtual console releases if they ple..."

"Nintendo of Japan has confirmed that the Wii’s Virtual Console will see the arrival of two N64 classics this summer, in the form of watery racer Wave Race 64 and flattened-out RPG Paper Mario. Although the pair are currently only slated for release on the Japanese Virtual Console, a western release is nigh on certain to follow.
