On the heels of the Wii price drop announcement, Nintendo has also announced a new bundle for Wii Sports Resort headed into to the fall and holiday shopping season. Beginning on October 12, Wii Sports Resort will see a bundle that contains two Wii MotionPlus accessories, which will retail for $59.99.

The standard Wii Sports Resort package comes with one Wii MotionPlus and retails for $49.99.

Nintendo has announced that Wii Sports Resort, their recently released game for the Wii console, has sold at least 500,000 units since its launch on July 26, according to their internal tracking numbers. According to Cammie Dunaway, it has been one copy of WSR sold roughly every 1.5 seconds up since launch up until the third.

The NPD Group will release their sales numbers for July 2009 on August 13th. The July 2009 tracking period spans from July 5th to August 1st.

In a press release today, Nintendo of America has finally announced release dates and pricing details for the company's upcoming peripheral, Wii MotionPlus and game, Wii Sports Resort.
