"Raven Software's latest game, the shooter sequel Wolfenstein, has been pulled from sale in Germany, after publisher Activision Blizzard realized some Nazi iconography was present in the German version of the game."
All Age Gaming presents our 7th The Week That Was. This week we look at the PS3 slim and the PS3 price drop, the Wii's lack of hardcore games and the Xbox 360's failure rate.
"Melty Blood: Actress Again (PS2 Import)
The original Melty Blood came out for the PC back in 2002. The story and characters were based on Tsukihime, a visual novel created by Type-Moon (the in-game story takes place about a year after the events in Tsukihime). Some are under the impression that Melty Blood borrowed heavily from Guilty Gear X, but in reality, the game took many of its cues from the Queen of Heart fighting game series. In fact, Queen of Heart '98 was released by French-Bread..."

If Raven's new game Wolfenstein can beat Madden 2010's sales for the month of August, one of Raven's designers will pay for everyone's copy of the game that has a receipt. Sounds like a pretty good deal. Sadly, I don't think I'd gamble on it.
"“No,” Sokal said, “in this game there will be no Hitler. We love ‘Mecha Hitler.’ Obviously, he’s one of the classic bad guys in videogames. It’s so famous in Wolf 3D when you finally killed him off, but this time around -- like I said -- it takes place after the events of Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
“So, we wanted to expand on that story, make it a lot deeper story arc this time around. For the story we were trying to tell this time, it just didn’t really fit to have Hitler and Mecha Hit..."

While behind enemy lines, you discover the Nazis have done much more than develop a new toy. Ein Führer will not appear in the next installation of the Wolfenstein franchise. You may all remember back in the original Wolfenstein 3D, a Doom-esque FPS for DOS- which was later ported to the GBA, Hitler was a robotic menace of a final boss wielding two Gatling guns.
The article contains many other interesting facts about the next game, but unfortunately no release date yet.

* BJ (the hero) will also make use of supernatural powers.
* Game gives you a city in which the game takes place. Missions and quests take you through different parts. As you complete quests, more of the city opens up. Kind of a non-linear path.
* Set piece and randomly generated activity block your path.
* There is an AI resistance force that will assist..."
