The rumblings from the Tokyo Game Show and Nintendo Power are true. In a press release today, Sega has officially announced that the imageepoch-developed DS RPG, World Destruction ~Michibikareshi Ishi~ will be headed to the US, under the title of Sands of Destruction. Siliconera's Spencer Yip was able to have a chat with Imageepoch president Ryoei Mikage, talking about Imageepoch's upcoming titles during the Tokyo Game Show. Mikage revealed to Yip that Imageepoch is now working on a US version of their recently-released RPG, World Destruction ~Michibikareshi Ishi~, which will be published by Sega of America in the future. He notes that they are aiming for a full localization, with composer Yasunori Mitsuda rewriting the game's songs for this US release. ...

LotusCharts have posted up statistic for this week's software sales in Japan.

It's no surprise that Pokemon Platinum is still selling really high, though it did lose its number one spot. Super Robot Wars Z, a new show to the gaming world claimed top place. Disaster: Day of Crisis managed to scrap its way into the top ten. The other day, a teaser site opened on Sega's domain, teasing a new RPG for an unannounced platform, but featuring the star power of Kazuya Niinou, Reiko Kodama, and Yuzo Koshiro on the game's development staff.

Today, looking at Sega's Tokyo Game Show 2008 site, a picture was uncovered of the mysterious new game, an accidental reveal, if you will. The game looks to be titled 7th Dragon, and will apparently be for the Nintendo DS.

Sega has released new screenshots and trailer of their upcoming RPG, World Destruction for the Nintendo DS. The screenshots showcase some of the cutscenes, along with more shots of the battle system, which will fully utilize both DS screens to create large visuals of both monsters and background.
