Slowly but surely, iOS and Android devices are seeing full-length, well-received titles hit the platform that have more in common with established consoles than what we think of as "phone gaming."

2D boy has decided to bring it's quirky (not to mention sticky) and cute puzzle game, World of Goo, to Android devices. No release date has been announced, but it will be released for both Phones and tablets.

In this week's edition of Primed and Ready, Default Prime columnist Tom Peeters discusses the idea of whether or not a gamer should stop gaming when he reaches a certain age.

In this this week's edition of The Bitereon Collection, Default Prime columnist John-Charles Holmes inducts World of Goo for the Wii and PC into the collection.

The Wii is all about getting together with other people and playing some fun video games. What are the best downloadable offerings for players to enjoy with or against their pals?

"WiiWare has seen much better days. The download platform on the Wii definitely had a ton of potential to start, but it seems to have floundered over the past couple of years. As a result, many great indie games go criminally unnoticed. Looking for some solid, independently developed titles to pass the time? Fire up your Wii and head on over to the Wii Shop Channel. Here are the best indie downloads WiiWare has to offer."

"Gameplay (where the solution doesn’t come straight to mind) relies on trial and error. But it’s only a tiny bit frustrating. For the most part, it’s tongue-sticking-out-the-side-of-mouth focus and giggles once you get a group of goo balls into the pipe."

There's been some talk going around lately about the relationship between Nintendo and third party developers. An example being difficulty with hardcore third party titles. Lee Evans has posted a blog entry going over some facts and figures in an effort to shed some light on the matter and the severity of the situation.

"When I first played World of Goo it was a brilliant puzzle game on a gameplay level. It took shots at corporate globalization and consumerism but little more than that. Or so I thought. I recently went back to the World of Goo and what I saw could only be compared to stepping into the infinite of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I first began to stumble upon the depth of World of Goo when I began to wonder who exactly I was playing as. You’re not exactly playing as a goo, after all..."

"It was announced last week that the PC videogames client from Microsoft, Games for Windows – LIVE, would be receiving a Games on Demand service similar to that launched earlier this year in Xbox 360 prior to the year’s end. And now, Electronic Theatre can bring you the full details on the launch line-up, and a freebie offered to early birds."

Is your wallet getting fat? Have you recently come into the possession of some more money? Or do you simply want a new WiiWare title? If you answered yes to any of these questions you might want to check out IGN's list of games on WiiWare that you should download. The list features titles such as World of Goo, Lost Winds, Megaman 9, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, and others and gives a brief explanation of why they warrant your purchase.

GameSpot has a pretty great expose online now regarding the "DRM dilemmna" -- that is, publisher action said to minimize piracy by limiting what gamers can do with a given title for the PC.

In it they speak to DRM advocates, opponents, developers, publishers, and DRM vendors themselves -- a must-read if you're looking to gain a broader perspective on the matter at hand, or don't know what DRM is about.

Slightly obvious imo: Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise, Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise, of course there is the sad chance it could be one of those many many (many) Ubisoft Petz games

"In years past, NeoGAF has done their favorite moments in gaming, using only MS Paint to show you. Looking back at 2008 brings us some of the coolest moments, great memories that can look amusing to just plain epic, even when in Paint. I purposely left out the names of the games as half the fun is guessing (but if you can’t figure it out, right click and hit properties to see the file name where I put the game)."

The top 20 WiiWare titles for the US as of the 10th of December. The results are based upon what is currently the highest selling, not over time.

World of Goo is doing well for itself, continuing to take top spot. This is followed by the new of the old classic Tetris Party. In third place is My Aquarium, a WiiWare title which at first didn't look to be popular and suffered from negative speculation.

"In this dark cloud known as the Global Economic Meltdown, it's hard to justify spending 60 bucks on a new video game.

But the best games for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii aren't necessarily those for sale in stores.

Some of the most inventive titles are downloadable games, small chunks of digital fun that cost only $5 to $15 apiece."

"Enter our "meta-metareview," a list of every game released this year that's scored above 85% on average from reviewers around the world. You won't be surprised by the games that made the list; you will be surprised that some of your (and our) favorites didn't make it.

The best-reviewed game this year? April's Grand Theft Auto IV (98%), followed by a three-way tie between LittleBigPlanet, BioShock (PS3) and World of Goo (95%) -- all three of which were released in October. Metal Gear S..."

Stuck for buying a game this Christmas Wii owners? Be stuck no more! There's a great variety of games out there just waiting to be bought and played. The Christmas list is separated into four categories "bargains for the cheap, essentials to prevent embarrassment, socializers to bring everyone together and epics to log the hours". Each game has the name, a picture, price, rating and a description.

What will you buy this Christmas?

World of Goo, the new WiiWare game from 2D Boy is now one of the highest rated game of all time, according to Metacritic. How could Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and LittleBigPlanet be toppled by such a small game? It could very well happen. SlapStic tries to determine this after the jump.

World of Goo, a seemingly unknown game that released three days ago for the PC and Wii, has been reviewed by GameXtract, and they have given it a 46/50! They note that the only knock on the game is its lasting appeal.

The best part is that the game is only 20 bucks!

It's another Monday, and four more games were added to the North American Wii Shop Channel this week. Its a doozy of an update that plans to put your wallet in a world of hurt: two hotly-anticipated games, one game that is another entry in a really good series, and another entry in a legendary series.

The first WiiWare title is the critically well-received World of Goo from 2D Boy. In World of Goo, you will have to create structures from various balls of goo that will lead to an exit/goa...

Game On Nintendo has their nine best games list for Christmas up for the Nintendo Wii!

What's the first thing that comes to mind? That Wii Music is on there of course, who let that in? It's also a bit of a surprise to see Sonic in there due to recent complaints from fans it's just not the same, maybe a sign of change?

Then you have you very obvious inclusions, such as Guitar Hero and Call of Duty. Wii Music is better though, right?

Finally there's some lesser known games, such as the...

"World of Goo is an amazing WiiWare game that you simply must buy for this is exactly the type of software that needs both recognition and support. A three-man team has created a title that is not only significantly cheaper than most retail Wii games, but a hell of a lot better in every regard, from concept to execution. It's packed full of brilliant, challenging levels. It's gorgeous. It's got beautiful music. And it controls really well. So if you value any or all of these qualities, and hop..."

With the two press conferences dominating the first day of the Nintendo Conference/Media Summit yesterday, the rest is being devoted to the games. Nintendo has issued a press release detailing some of the games to look for in its holiday lineup in the US, along with a glimpse at some of the 2009 releases.

The major notable is that there will indeed be a WiiWare version of the cult-favorite PC freeware adventure Cave Story. The Wii Speak Channel will also launch Nov. 16, when Wii Speak is...

"We are just now getting midway into 2008, and look at all the Wii games we have already enjoyed. It’s hard to imagine how 2008 could get any better for the Nintendo Wii. But I’m a true to heart optimist, so let’s take a look at some of the great titles still to come in 2008.

World Of Goo
Ok, I promise that #’s 4-1 will all have actual titles accompanying them. Unless you keep track of independent game release, then you may not of heard of World of Goo. It was a finalist in the 2008 Indepe..."

"This year it's all about bite-size, full-fat fun. Perfectly-formed games that don't trouble your wallet. Mini-delights. You might think Metal Gear Solid 4 or Grand Theft Auto IV will stand out as the pinnacles of gaming in 2008, but the real stars of these 12 months are the 12 games we've listed below. And not one of them should cost more than a console joypad.

A great example of how being cheap doesn't cheapen a game, Red Lynx Trials 2 initially cost ..."
