"A recently uncovered patent reveals that Microsoft is considering the idea of avatars whose appearance depends on users' actual health. To put it in the words of the application, Microsoft's "Avatar Individualized by Physical Characteristics is "An avatar generator for a virtual environment [that] reflects a physiological characteristic of the user, injecting a degree of reality into the capabilities or appearance.""

"To me the Xbox signifies the end of an era in video games, as it was the last of the true gaming systems. Yes, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are both designed with gaming in mind, but you could make a reasonable, logical argument that both platforms are multimedia devices that just happen to also play games."
"The most recent statistics show the continued dominance of the current generation of consoles by the Xbox 360 (with a 21.1% usage minutes). The Wii and Playstation 3 come in third and fourth places with 17.6% and 10.5% respectively.
The statistics for the previous generation of consoles is not as kind to both Microsoft's Xbox consoles. Being used much less than the Playstation 2, which has a 21.6% showing, ranking the system the most played console for the month of April."
"Just a few hours ago, I went to the one near my house and was quite surprised at what I saw. Apparently they had a installed a new vending machine less than a day ago which allows you to trade in your used PS2, PS3, X-Box, 360 and Wii games.
The machine looks extremely similiar to the Redbox DVD rental machines. When I went to use the machine, however, it still had more than a few bugs that need fixing. The first issue occurs right after you login. When logging in, you are asked to scan yo..."
"When a demo is done properly, it can create a lot of buzz around an unheralded title. The early days saw Fight Night Round 3 stun 360 owners with its sharp visuals and crunching slow-mo knockout replays.
Later down the line Civilization Revolution, Lost Planet, Bioshock and Burnout Paradise all had stellar demos that did a great job of selling the game in question.
Sometimes it's too easy for developers to fall into a "here's the boss, now the demo ends" trap. Unfortunately, some develo..."
My, my. This is a first. While it's not the first time someone has stolen their father's debit or credit card, this is certainly one of the first times that hookers were involved. In fact, this is a story that might even put Eliot Spitzer in a more positive light. A thirteen year-old Texan decided that he and some friends were going to order a new credit card using his father's existing card to go out and buy the services of a pair of escort girls.
The catch? The teenagers preferred t...

"What is art? It’s a fairly straightforward question, yet it encompasses a limitless amount of correct answers. Art is defined by Webster’s Dictionary as the conscious use of skill and creative imagination, especially in the production of aesthetic objects. What happens then, when the physical aspect is removed?
The other day, I asked my friend’s father, one of the most level-headed people I know, if he considered film to be a form of art. I was hit with a rapid response confirming that ye..."

Consoles in this day and age, seem to follow a "Console Cycle"... well atleast Sony did with the Playstation trilogy... The cylce sees the introduction of a new generation machine every 5 to 6 years, however the production life of each machine is around 10 years.
Take for example the (original) Playstation which was released in Dec 1994. This was followed in Mar 2000 by the PS2, however it remained in production till Mar 2006 when Sony finally stopped making the machines. Which meant that...
