"GamingUnion: "It's almost the end of the month again, which means one of GamingUnion.net's newest features, the JRPG Gamer's Guide, is back again for another monthly dosage of JRPG gaming goodness. "GamingUnion: "Last month we started a new feature here at GamingUnion.net featuring the latest upcoming Japanese RPGs hitting Western shores during the upcoming month. It’s that time of the month again, which means we have another new round of JRPGs to showcase for all you JRPG fans out there! And since the next few months are much more sparsely populated compared to our last feature, we’ll also be featuring some games coming out in April and beyond.""
I have heard so many great things about this game and seeing it at my local gamestop almost tipped the scale of excitement. But seeing this beautiful art book cover finally did it. Can't wait to see this game!
"Ask yourself, if you will; what is a game?
I suppose you could see the question from any number of angles, any number of interpretations. You could view it mechanically – a typical game involves an actor, maybe several, multiple mechanics, parameters. You could take each individual aspect of a game and put a magnifying glass to it. Or you could take it at its most literal definition; something to be played."
"GamingUnion: "In honour of Final Fantasy XIII-2's release this past week, we've decided to compile a list of our ten favourite Japanese role-playing games for the current home console / handheld generation. While things have been tough in general for Japan as of late, there have been a numerous titles to truly capture the spirit of a JRPG and pushed the genre in new directions."
"The story is set on two giant gods; Bionis and Mechonis (as shown in the image below), who stopped functioning after a seemingly never-ending battle with one another. Shortly later, there was life. These civilians began to build colonies on the exterior of these gods and all seemed well until the residents of Mechonis (the machines) waged war on Bionis (home to biological life forms)."

Nintendo of America's Reggie Fils Aime says he's looking over at sales in Europe to determine Xenoblade's localization to US shores. I guess Operation Rainfall at least made them aware of the situation.
"Xenoblade Chronicles is a massive game, crafted as a synthesis of solid online experiences and classic JRPG magic. While the game sports a deep story, fantastic soundtrack, and beautiful world, none of these is the focus: the game's all about pure excellence in terms of gameplay. You can explore literally any corner of the world it looks like you can reach, and there's an incredible amount of both core and side content in the form of quests, items, and monsters to fight. While no trailer coul..."
"Sorry American Wii owners, but if you’re waiting for Xenoblade Chronicles, Nintendo has got another slap in the face for you. They’ve just announced that the game will now be releasing in Australia, as well as stating the exact release date."

"Europeans are in for a treat as XenoBlade Chronicles will hit the shelves in just a few short months. Not only that, Nintendo plans to throw in some goodies with all pre-orders from Game and GameStation."
Yesterday, an article was submitted detailing the plans of North American Nintendo fans making a stand against the company. Their goal is to bring three popular titles to the states. They have named the mission Operation Rainfall. In less than a day, their plan is already being put into effect with one of the games, Monado aka Xenoblade, reaching the top seller's list on Amazon.
"If you're a Nintendo Wii owner, chances are you're feeling a bit neglected this year. Games have been coming out for the Wii but there's been hardly anything of note whatsoever released in the past few months, and there's hardly any plans to release anything later in the year with all this focus on the Wii U (coming 2012). Well, this is a bit too much for some disgruntled Wii owners who've all decided that they're going to actively campaign for three Japanese titles to be localized and sent o..."
"The next generation is very much in full swing as game developers Monolith (the people behind Wii exclusive RPG Xenoblade Chronicles) are advertising actively on their site for people to work on the 'Next generation of Nintendo hardware' which, unless there's another secret one, would appear to be the Wii U."
"Ever since the series' inception, one of the biggest draws of The Legend of Zelda series has been its wide, expansive overworlds. And as we can see from the dangerous, colossal-for-its-time world of the original Hyrule fantasy, the first-ever appearance of a real Hyrule Field in Ocarina of Time, and The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess's larger-scale worlds, there's something of a sense that bigger is better. There's been a sort of gripe with the series since the GameCube era, however, that s..."
"If there's one thing the developers at Nintendo have proven they're good at in the last year, it's bringing back old-school franchises and brushing them up for the 21st century. We've seen a couple new iterations of Super Mario Bros., a long-anticipated Donkey Kong Country sequel, an original side-scrolling Kirby game, all culminating with the re-release of the original Super Mario Bros. collection for Wii. This year's going to greet at least two more: Pilotwings and Kid Icarus.
In past ga..."

Xenoblade features a vast world atop of the game's only two god landmasses, and Shulk and co. can travel seamlessly in this world, with the only loading happening between body parts. "All it took was a "Xeno" to get gamers everywhere talking about Monolith's new Wii RPG. Previously announced at E3 2009 as Monado: Beginning of the World, Nintendo, the title's publisher, gave the game the new name of "Xenoblade" a couple of weeks back and had people wondering if this might be a new entry in the Xenosaga series.
It's not a new entry in that fabled PlayStation series, though. Xenoblade director Tetsuya Takahashi made this clear in an interview in this week's Famitsu.
"Th..."
Remember that Monolithsoft RPG Monado: Beginning of the World that Nintendo quietly revealed via its E3 press kit last year?
It has resurfaced.
In their third quarter financial results briefing, Nintendo has shown that the phantom RPG with only screenshots and video to its name is still alive, sporting a new name, release date, and teaser site.
