"We all have our favorite video game character, right? But what character is the top character of all time? Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer's Edition (out now, $12.99 for ebook, $14.99 for print) chimes in with its Top 10, voted on by more than 13,000 fans on the Guinness website. And Mario takes the top spot.

Nintendo had 11 characters in the Top 50, followed by Sony and Capcom with six and five, respectively. Five characters came from the year 1966, followed by 1987, 2001 and 2007 with ..."

A guy made a video on YouTube doing what I remember GameTrailers did quite a while ago, explaining the Zelda timeline. This guy did a complete job imo, very well done, and should be watched. However, he has received a response from Nintendo about this timeline saying.. there is no timeline. I've included the original video and the response in the quote.

Hot off of the Mario Marathon last month, they are at it again. Nintendo is arranging some form of Zapper demo using a Zelda mini-game called Zelda Crossbow Training. Could this be the Zelda that was said to be in the works, and is this one game or is it going to be a mini-game collection? Believed to use the Twilight Princess engine, the demo was shown off to GameStop managers in Las Vegas today.

An important milestone is coming to the Wii Shop: It's 100th downloadable title, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. The title is set to be released this upcoming Monday for 500 points.

With so much success the Wii has had lately, it isn't such a big surprise that this milestone is being passed. Hopefully they will continue to set forth in bringing several classic games into our homes in the future.
