"Much like the classic rock station I catch myself listening to on a daily basis, I feel that Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) is still a healthy part of my gaming diet. Sure, the more modern day games in the series are akin to Guns N' Roses’ Chinese Democracy, but I still enjoy the titles that are the video game equivalent of GnR’s pre-Axl Rose weight gain."

"The holiday season has always been the best time to be a gamer. It’s not hard to see why. With hyped titles hitting our shelves and Steam sales hitting our wallets, there’s never been a shortage of things to play. But long before these days were commonplace, before DLC, E3, or even Windows 95, I spent one Christmas with the greatest game I have ever played, a game that trumps every other title to this very day: Tetris."

""Personally, I’ve always subscribed to that hardcore gamer mentality. I used to hate the fact that if I made a mistake in Dirt 3, all I needed to do was rewind my progress and all would be forgiven. As I’ve gotten older and increasingly have less time to game, I’ve realized that mechanics like this are actually extremely useful and probably should be included in most games, preferably on an optional basis. I don’t have the time to replay a 10 lap race in Dirt just because I made a silly error..."
