People love trophies, some people even decide if they should buy a game based on trophies. So if you are one of those trophy 'lovers' I got some good news. Echochrome is getting a new patch to add trophies. Click the link to view the list of trophies.

Sources report that the mind-bending puzzler Echochrome will soon be getting trophy support. For those who haven't played it, Echochrome is a very innovative puzzle game based on optical illusions. The player guides an avatar around levels that look like something out of an M.C. Escher painting, trying to gather up "echoes" that have been placed around the map. In order to overcome obstacles such as gaps between platforms, the player can shift the perspective of the game to cover up holes or connect two paths that normally wouldn't touch. The game was a lot of fun when it first launched on the PSP, and we recommend that any puzzle fans with a PS3 have a closer look at this game.

Those all seem fairly easy. Things that you would get just by playing the game.

Is it really that big of a deal when a PS3 game gets trophies? I figured every game for the PS3 would have them by now... Even the shittiest 360 games have achievements, including the arcade games.

It's not really a big deal when games launch with trophies, but these articles are nice to inform people (like me) that I game we have is about to be trophy patched or to convince someone to buy the game.

Yes it is a big deal. PS3 games gets trophy's which adds to the replayability and creativity of doing something for them. It also closes yet another gap between PS3 and 360 and makes competition that much tougher and enjoyable for us gamers. It also looks quite nice on my profile. That and the fact the more trophy's you have you gain virtual money in Home and get into special beta's and stuff, if it holds on to be true, which I'm sure it will be. Besides since all future PS3 titles are trophy mandatory its more exciting for us. PS3 users wanted something similar to MS 360 achievements and they delivered. Better late then never.
