Despite the new updates that render the former Twilight Hack useless, the Wii Homebrew community is still standing strong.

A new exploit allows users to access .ELF files via the SD slot, something that has been in the works for some time now. With even easier use and instructions than the previous exploits, this user believes this will bring the Wii Homebrew Scene up to a level almost rivaling the PSP-Homebrew community.

Bummed because you've got a new Wii and the Twilight Princess hack won't work on it? Have an older Wii but you don't want to buy Twilight Princess just to install Homebrew? Try the free and easy bannerbomb exploit.

Bannerbomb is so easy it's ridiculous, and the Homebrew Browser is streamlined perfectly.

Some of the stuff out is really great; Helium Boy, Portal 2D, Wiiradio, Being able to watch DVDs on the thing... it's really great, not just for pirating games.

Nitendo has lost in the battle against hackers this gen 'round. There's also a way to install homebrew using Super Smash Bros Brawl or Super Mario Galaxy's exploit. these are pretty much impossible to fix unless they like...recalled those two games and patched the exploit.

not to mention bannerbomb. Nintendo was just too half assed with their console this gen

I blame the fact they have their heads stuck up casual gamers asses.

I mean...take the PS3 or 360 for example, who focus a lot more on hardcore gamers than Nintendo ever will.

modding those=bye bye XBL or PSN forever

Nintendo is a joke when it comes to homebrew/modding. it's too easy

Yup, you are 100% correct. I personally only have the HBC installed because it came with BootMii as I wanted to be able to back up my files.

Homebrew is alright, it's easy to navigate and stremlined pretty well.
