EA have finally given up. After 6 months of negotiations and talks Electronic Arts have officially ended their interest in purchasing the company, not citing any specific reason for the move. Instead focusing on all the brilliant IP's and titles coming out this year. Take 2 took a similar tactic saying they did what was best for the company and their stockholders. It will certainly be interesting to see how both companies stock fairs in the coming days.

Music to my ears.So much for the chance that T2 would settle because of GTA4 sales slowing down.

This isn't good or bad tbh. But I wouldn't be surprised if more talks on this comes out soon.

Also, "Instead focusing on all the brilliant IP's" since when did EA have brilliant IP's?

Any game with the EA logo on it, Ea own the rights.

      So Half-life,NFS, Battlefield, Rockband etc.

Rock Band and Half-Life(The Orange Box), they merely own publishing and distribution rights.

They saw that GTA4 turned out to be overrated. Nothing much to milk anymore.
