It would appear that with the release of Street Fighter IV in Japan, both the 360 and PS3 have enjoyed a boost in sales which combined comes to a boost of 4,000 units. This is good news for both consoles, but especially for the 360 as its sales are quite low in Japan.

For the week ending Feb‭ ‬8‭ the Xbox360 had sold 9,833 units and the PS3 18,656 units.

After much speculation,‭ ‬Media Create has confirmed that Capcom's Street Fighter IV had sold over‭ ‬86,000‭ ‬units in Japan last week.‭

Sales of the title also gave a lift to its two host consoles,‭ ‬the PS3‭ ‬and Xbox‭ ‬360,‭ ‬with both enjoying a combined weekly sales increase of over‭ ‬4,000‭ ‬units.‭

Reading the article I didn't see sales for the special game pads for SF:IV, that'd be interesting to see how many of those were sold. I'd think that more were sold than in the West.
