In a recent interview with Michael Booth, founder or Turtle Rock Studios; Michael Booth tells GamesIndustry.biz about working with Valve and the growth of online gaming.

This interview might perk some peoples interest (ie: mines ;)) with the pending release of Turtle Rock Studio's highly anticipated game Left 4 Dead. This is only part one of a multi part interview but unfortunately no mentions of Left 4 Dead have been dropped as of yet.

Throughout the interview most of the questions delt with Valve and Steam. Question such as "What advantages has your relationship with Valve provided you with as an independent developer?" and "What kind of challenges do developers face these days when developing an online team-play game? Is competition getting tougher as the market becomes crowded with titles?" in which one of the topics he replies with is "For some reason, a lot of single-player games think they can just throw together a basic online deathmatch using their game assets and call it done. That is just wasting dev time and game credibility to put a "play online" bullet point on their box." I can think of one game off the top of my head like that, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
