Capcom's hotly anticipated zombie-filled sequel game, Dead Rising 2, has now been reported by Kotaku that it will not be shown at this year's E3. Originally planned to be one of the major games at the conference, Dead Rising 2 would have been one of the highlights of Capcom's showings. However, due to a swine flu outbreak in Osaka, where Capcom Japan is located, members of the company are heeding the Japanese government's suggestions and will not travel to the expo during the first week of June.
While Dead Rising 2 is being developed in Canada, Capcom has stated that will not show the game, partly because of this swine flu outbreak, and partly because of the current state the game is in.
This is the first case in which a Japanese-based game publisher has canceled one of their E3 showings this year due to swine flu.

People are just overreacting to this whole swine flu (we're actually supposed to call it H1N1 virus, by the way) outbreak. It's no worse than every other flu strain we get ever year. Just as long you have adequate medical treatment in your country.
SARS and the bird flu were more fatal, tbh.
Not saying it hasn't been overacted ,which it has. Like Egypt that's fricking stupid, who do they think they are? Madagascar? But the threat IS genuine and this just isn't randomly made, this choice was made by the recommendation from the Japanese government.
Most deaths due to this outbreak occured in Mexico, and I don't normally think top-tier medical coverage when I think of Mexico. The first death in the U.S. was a two-year-old kid, not somebody I would consider to have the best immune system to combat the flu.
This pisses me off, its one of my most looked forward to games
NO DEADLIER THAN NORMAL FLU

Srs bsns. We can't offend the, like, hundred Mexican families who lost someone to the flu by... Showcasing a new video game about zombies? WTF?
